We were very hesitant to use them due to all the bad reviews. They had the floor we wanted and a very reasonable price. We had our entire house redone with new LVT plank flooring. My husband called the company and expressed our concerns and reluctance. I don't know if that had any effect or not. But, I am completely happy with our floor and installation. Four men came for 2 days and it looks like nothing happened. The woodwork is perfectly replaced, they moved and replace all the furniture, appliances and toilets. and cleaned up afterwards. Before they left the "boss" walked around with us to make sure we were happy with everything they did. Checked refrigerator, stove, toilets , washer and dryer. All worked just fine. I had a great experience with the first meeting with the representative Don Burggaller who listened to what I was looking for & he focused on several samples, colors & prices. All up-front and not overwhelming for a novice like me making a sizeable investment without a lot of first hand experience. There was an agreed upon price & nothing deviated from the initial estimate. The guys who did the install were great. They showed up as scheduled, moved a bunch of furniture around, took their time and the end result was gratifying. One small hiccup about a sliding closet door that got off the track. Kelly in Customer service was tenacious in getting someone back out to resolve this small issue. The follow from her assured the job was fully completed and the customer was satisfied. Wow, I am still in shock! I just completed an appt with a Sales Associate. Probably the SHORTEST one on record! ( 1-2 Min max). He she's up unprepared, incorrect client name, Incorrect Type of Material we are Interested in, AND NO SAMPLES! Hmmm....He DOESN'T measure, just looks at my kitchen and tell me that 'because of our process, which includes grouting the tile is Why our cost is so high.' (That works out to $40.00 a sq. Ft!) As for the rest of my home, (1500 qq ft) it would cost 20,000, and be a week and a half. (12.40 per sq ft) again because of 'their process! Wow in a bad way is all I can say about my experience today with express flooring and we didn't even sign up to have flooring installed. the sales person, whose name I wont mention, was initially very personable and friendly. Explained that they were non commission and just wanted to make sure we got great flooring for a great price. After discussing our price range he was slightly less personable, but based on the shopping around we had done we were not going to spend 6,000 on carpet for two spare bedrooms. He brought in a few samples that were not impressive and the color options were not what we were looking for. We tried to explain nicely that we weren't interested in what we had been shown and if the samples we saw were our only option we were not interested in ordering flooring. This is where Dr.Jekyll became Mr.Hyde! He was rude and abrasive, talking down to my husband and I as if we were idiots. He kept saying he didn't understand what we wanted and no matter how we tried to explain it he just kept repeating that he didn't understand. He was sharp and continued to be incredibly abrasive for the next few minutes. I tried explaining that while durability is obviously important so is aesthetic and we had not seen anything we loved. He went back to his car in a huff to find more samples and made us feel like we didn't know what we were talking about. I tried explaining a second time that for most of us aesthetic is just as important as durability, it can last 40 years but if it doesn't look nice it isn't worth the money in our opinion. He said we had to agree to disagree because he is a carpet guy and knows better. Infuriating! After showing us a few more samples in colors that were not right for our space we declined to work with him and he left. Horrible experience and impression. He was so disrespectful, in front of my son no less, that I'm not sure I would have done business with him even if he had found our dream carpeting. Highly suggest looking elsewhere! We ended up ordering carpet today from someone else that we fell in love with for its aesthetic and durability for half the price! Update: Although I can appreciate that my review got a response (over a year after it was originally posted) I am a little bit appalled that the response was not used to make the situation right in any way or to be apologetic for the terrible experience but was instead used to toot their own horn. Expensive. The installers were so stoned they didn't complete the job correctly. Flooring came up in corners and lady on the phone blamed it on our dogs. Last I heard, dogs don't have the tools to pull up flooring. The same crew came out to repair- so stoned they stunk up the house! I don't recommend them. read more

Horrible experience with the design consultant. After seeing the hard flooring and haggling over price, he was playing a game with not wanting to show us the carpet samples. Because I said that the hard flooring was too expensive, he said that if he brought the carpet samples in that I liked, that I'd just say it was too expensive. It was very insulting and disrespectful. Oh, and he quoted something like 8500. For 500 sq ft of hardwood floor which is ridiculous, then I mentioned a friend getting a lower price and that I'm a veteran and get 10% off at Lowe's and after calling a supervisor the price magically became 1/2 off. This proves that they are gouging people who don't question the prices. (And as a salesperson myself I knew to not be the first person to give in while negotiating OR let him control us by locking in the hard flooring before seeing the carpet) So after going back and forth asking him to bring in carpet samples and him refusing to bring some until I gave him a dollar amount I told him, "I've never had to fight to get a flooring quote before!!" He then again condescendingly told us that he would not bring in any samples until we told him exactly (sight unseen) told him which ones we wanted. How can I tell him what I want without seeing the carpet?? I could walk into any flooring store and see ALL of the samples and feel it, etc. I felt like because we were on the fence about the hard flooring, he didn't want to put too much effort into the carpet quote. It's like it wasn't worth it to him to go 25 yards to the car to get whatever samples he had in his vehicle. Then why the heck did he shown up if we can't decide what we like? He was trying to run the "use car salesman" tactics and we weren't going for it. He even did the "I have to call the sales manager" car salesman thing. I've been in sales for 20+ years and this guy was in the top 5 worst salesmen I have dealt with. I know that he was trying to lock us into an expense price for hardwood before we could get the carpet price and negotiate. Well you have lost a customer and I will blow up social media to let unsuspecting nice people know that they will be ripped off and pay 2x or more than they could with an honest contractor. And ...NEWSFLASH...they use contractors to install the flooring...not employees. They just upcharge everything then subcontract the work. Read the reviews about the shoddy workmanship and the difficulty with getting it fixed, if ever. 30 year warranty...BS!! Don't waste your money. Literally in the process of getting vinyl floors installed. I was told by salesman that if they found lumps or bumps on the concrete subfloor they would have to grind and that would be an extra cost. What he didn't state that if there was a need for type of primer or filler if there were any indents or holes. This can apparently tack on a few hundred dollars. Here is my suggestion. If you are selling a vinyl floor for a concrete slab, bundle all the costs. 99.9% of the time there will be some type of imperfection on the slab. Kinda pissed me off after paying over 3k for one bedroom and one closet to have a vinyl floor to having this extra cost to incur. Not fun, not fair, and not good business. So far your installers are very nice. 5/30 UPDATE: Got a call today from someone named Ian from Express Flooring who cleared up what the salesperson did not. He mentioned floor prep in his pitch and went immediately into floor grinding costs. He failed to mention the coating the was needed. Ian alluded to the fact that this is what floor prep would include. The big issue is that the installer explained that he worked piece work and all supplies (glue, caulk, primer, etc) was all on them to supply. He stated he called the office a few times to get a price on the coating but no one, apparently called back. As per the installer they didn't want to wait on the call so they put the coating down anyway. Knowing he would not be reimbursed for that I gave him 100.00 in cash to accommodate his expense because I thought it was the right thing to do. However, in speaking with Ian, the reason I never got that call from them was because the installer was told just to apply at no cost. Feeling a bit duped, but Ian stated that he would reimburse me for that 100.00. He also asked that I remove or amend the post here. I hope that they do make good with the check and the transition pieces still left to install as they were on back order. If not I will be back on. read more

Why bring out samples of carpet that you don't have in stock? I told him to give me an estimate of the carpet that wasn't available just so I had an idea of where we were. Seemed a bit high. We rescheduled for another day in hopes of there would get something in stock that I liked. So I called a competitor. Empire. Their estimate was 1500.00 cheaper. I had carpet installed by Express about 10 years ago. I called to have my carlet re-stretched and was told that the "lifetime warranty " only covers 2 years from installation. I'm not sure whose lifetime they were referring to but certainly not mine. I was the quoted a mini of $600 for the job or a $50 device charge to come out and give a more accurate price to re-stretch 2 rooms. Unbelievable! Do not use this company without knowing this. I had a great experience with Don from Express Flooring. He helped assess my carpets and helped me choose the right carpet for my home. The installation process was effortless on my part and they were done within an hour. I definitely will be using them again when I replace the rest of my house and will recommend them to friends and family! Overall an awesome experience! Update- I'm changing my review a week later. We had an accident with our new carpet. Our dog chewed 3 patches of carpet. Obviously we know this is our fault and knew there would be fees. Mind you, we were told when we got this carpet that it's very popular and they had tons of it in stock in their Phoenix warehouse. I get a call from their repair person and he proceeds to tell me that they don't have any of the carpet we had in stock anymore and that they can patch the carpet with a different color but it will obviously show OR we can pay to replace the entire carpet. We just paid $1400 to replace that room. We don't have that kind of money to replace the carpet again. It seems to me that they're just looking for money. 1. They told me the carpet I purchased was in stock. 2. Then, ONE day before scheduled install they discovered the carpet was damaged! 3. Shouldn't they check for that kind of condition before warehousing it? 4. Had to reschedule for a following-day install which was a MAJOR inconvenience to me, because I had to then reschedule my plans and negotiated for $150 rebate - which to my surprise was actually mailed to me 1-1/2 week later. 5. Had my kitchen floor done it cost a whopping $2000 for a small floor they said it was water proof with a 5 year warrantee. It began to buckle in a area and needed to replace a couple boards where the problem was... They charged me $50 dollars just to look at it and left, then never came back... He went on and on about his position being salary and our potential purchase was irrelevant. I guess he was trying to convince us he was not a high pressure sales kind of guy, mission failure! I scheduled with this company based on their advertisement for a free in-home estimate. While waiting for them to arrive I decided to do a search on reviews and was alarmed at the negative reviews. I called to cancel politely and the individual on the phone let out a long sigh, was short with me and then abruptly hung up the phone. While he was rude, at least I likely dodged a bullet. To your response below....: You are sorry I feel that way about my experience of being treated rudely? What other way is there to feel about being treated rudely? Most of the crew including the lead contractor did a good job installing the tile. However, again and again the installation manager overcommitted and overpromised completion and resources to complete the job on the dates promised. When our original appliances and large furniture was put back put in the wrong places (had to get a mover in to relocate), a piece of molding on expensive cabinets was broken, the refrigerator door was rehung improperly, a chunk was taken out of our drywall. In addition they dumped the liquid thickset solution on pour plants in the backyard killing several that will need to be replaced. Only one replacement tile was left with us. Though we clearly saved money, suggest you go elsewhere for the proper finish to the job! read more

One star is too high! I have left less than a handful of negative reviews in my life. I have a high tolerance for BS, but this company is beyond awful! I was just moving to the area and needed to replace my carpets before moving in all my stuff within a month. My parents suggested Express Flooring as they were bragging in their ads about how fast their install was. After meeting with the rep, the quote was about 2k more than the other place I was considering (but was 8 weeks out), but they would be able to get it done within 1-2 weeks and would have it done within 2-3 days. Iwas desperate to get it done quick and took the bait... Well, the install took 2 weeks in of itself. Unfortunately, I was not in state when the install took place, so my elderly parents were left to oversee the work and did not know what to look for. They were told the obvious seams throughout would blend over time. Yes, the carpets were new and looked fresh compared to the dark shag they replaced, but as I started to move in, I noticed how obvious the seams were. There are some spots you can see the seams are already lifting, and there are small uneven spots (almost like bubbles) in many places. The very last room to be finished had six different seams and was obviously laid by left over carpet remnants. After about 20 phone calls and talking to multiple people, Express Flooring came back out. They blamed me for choosing a low pile patterned carpet causing the seams to be so visible and again said the carpets would settle over time. The only thing they did attempt to fix was the last room with the pieced together carpet remnants. I thought they actually did a decent job only to have it blasted by three different flooring contractors who came out a few months later for tile flooring quotes. The first flooring person thought she was there to quote a carpet install because of all the obvious seams and lifting. She was stunned that the carpet was only 3 months old and pointed out how crooked the pattern was in the only room they did fix, and commented how bad the seams were laid throughout. She also pointed out that they put a 3" strip of carpet between the carpet threshold of both bathrooms, which looks incredibly stupid. In addition, if I have tile put on the bathroom floors, due to the 3" strip Express Flooring laid between the bathroom entryways, it was going to look funky and and offset when the door to the bathroom was shut. It was highly suggested that I make a complaint against Express Flooring for the sloppy work they did and demand they replace several areas of carpet or offer a discount. I attempted to call Express Flooring several more times to see if someone would come out to discuss. They did not pick up-they must have known I already paid their bill. I left several voicemails, but no one has ever contacted me. So no, I would not recommend this place for any flooring need. What I meant is I WOULD NEVER, EVER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS! read more

My house is almost 2000 sq ft. I booked an appointment for an estimate to replace the old linoleum that came with the house from when I bought it. The 3 bedrooms and the 2 bathrooms take almost 40 ish% of the space but I wanted to install something new on the the other 60ish%. I asked for something water resistant and easy too clean. Nothing fancy. Just some laminated material what would last at least 10 years. This sales person came up with a 45K dlls!!!. Are you kidding me?? And that's after the so advertised 72% off!!. I asked him for a more reasonable price and he went down to around 20K dlls. This people talk to you like if you have to understand all thouse terms they use to describe que chemicals used to manufacture the flooring material and make you feel honesty scared. NO WAY JOSE! AWFUL EXPERIENCE! I promise you this will be worth the read. The sales representative was amazing. Personable, well kempt and professional. I paid in full in cash and scheduled 2 weeks in advance. They were supposed to be here between 9-11 am. No call, no show so I called to check at noon. They said they would be at my house at 2pm. Again, no call, no show so I called again at 3pm. The representative said the manager would call me as soon as he was off the other line. AGAIN, did not call. 2 men finally showed up at 6PM. I had already pulled up all of the carpet in one room and moved all furniture except for a mattress out of both rooms. (Something not required and typically done by the installers.) My dad asked the installers to move the mattress out of the room prior to beginning. Instead, they cut the carpet away from the wall, THREW IT ON MY BED and then pulled my matress away from the wall on top of more carpet scraps they had just cut up. When I came home from work, one of the workers had taken off his dirty over shirt and put it on my bed and along with all of his papers. Infuriated at the disrespect of my personal belongings and realizing there was no way these 2 men were going to finish the job before midnight, I called the 800 number to explain my situation. The customer service representative asked to speak with the installers. After speaking with the rep, the installer looks at me and asks why I didn't talk to him about it in a highly confrontational manner. He then goes in the room where the carpet is on my mattress, picks up the papers on the bed and sarcastically says "so these papers are what are bothering you?" I abruptly explained to him that he doesn't need to belittle me or my concerns. He replied by asking me if I wanted him to leave and I returned to my conversation with the customer service representative who over heard the conversation. The customer service representative said he was mortified and ended up calling the installers manager at home. In the meantime, I asked the installers to collect their things and leave. The confrontational one of the two looked at me, shook his head and uttered "Jesus." He then proceeded to call someone, explain he was being "kicked out of the job" and that I was "crazy." I had to ask them twice more to leave my house because they were not promptly collecting their things and leaving. I am absolutely mortified that a company would treat a customer like this and that an employee would be brazen enough to talk to someone like that in person especially in front of my 6 year old child. I was thinking the whole project to cost roughly $11,000 came in at .$8945.69 for 879 sf. It took 5 days including the rip of the satiillo . My wife is ecstatic and I'm happy because she is. This is the most unscrupulous and dishonest Company I have ever done business with. Mine is not a unique experience with this company. We did not select them because of price as they weren't any cheaper than their competitors, but they didn't charge for moving the furniture. So we chose them on that basis. We only have two bedrooms and a living room that are carpeted. The home is Southwest architecture and the rest Of the home has tile flooring. We had problems with the poor installation from the first room and new people had to be sent in to correct the install (they couldn't do a doorway properly and there was a hole in the carpeting along one wall. This company does not have their own installers, they appear to pick up day laborers as they need them. I was told this by an installer who came later in the experience. It was a one day install & when the crew quit at 6:30 on a Saturday evening the living room was one third carpeted. We were told they had run out of carpeting (the guy who Did the measurement didn't know how to measure!) We later learned that the company billed the full cost of the contract to our American Express card we had used for the deposit. Lesson learned: never use a credit card for a deposit as the company can then charge anything they want to that card & you won't know it until you get the bill.Monday no carpeting no installers. When calling we were told that the carpeting we had chosen wasn't in their warehouse but had to be ordered FROM ATLANTA! and it would take 8 days. Long story short THE CARPETING JOB WASNT FINISHED FOR 53 DAYS! Our home was torn up for 53 days. The living room was unusable because only 1/3 was carpeted & most of the furniture was in the dining & living room which were then also unusable. This was a nightmare having most of our home unusable for 53 days & fighting with American Express to get the charge removed from our bill. At one point the manager offered me a $750 rebate if I would sign a document giving away my First Ammendment Rights of free speech! (I would promise never to say or write anything about my experience with EXPRESS FLOORING) NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH EXPRESS FLOORING. We were impressed with the service from conception to the end. One thing that made me decide to go with Express is the Lifetime Warranty & not having to go into a tile store then be overwhelmed with all of the choices. The installation was great & the workers were polite, as well kept me informed of the whole process. I recommend Express as it was a smooth transition & not overwhelming with the large to do list I would have had if I chose to do it myself or elsewhere. We spent almost 4 hours discussing flooring and negotiating pricing with the representative. They pulled my credit and got me financed. We signed the contract and set a date for installation. We also made arrangements for somewhere to stay while they were in her home. We were just contacted and told they can't do it for the negotiated price and we will need to pay more to continue with the installation. I feel like my wife and I have been taken advantage of and this was the plan from the moment we signed. We'll be taking our business elsewhere and I suggest others do the same. read more

They guy called, Chip, called and said he was early, but we made an appointment for a time we were available. He rescheduled for 1:00 pm, showed up at 1:38 pm, no call that he was late. Finally arrived and sat down to give us a quote, went through the questions, my partner step away for a sec and I asked "What's the next question?" and he said "I will wait until he gets back in the room." Ummm what? You can say the question more than once? Very odd. Basically told us our expectations are unrealistic after REMINDING us 5 times that he is on salary and not trying to gouge us (why would he have to keep saying this over and over? This guy, too, was nice at first and once we said we thought his pricing was not making sense he basically did a 180 degree and turned into this monster of a person. He seem so tightly wound. Very bizarre behavior. I had 3 estimates before him and his base investment level was 400% more than the estimates from other companies that have store fronts and staff to do the same job. If you schedule and he shows up, don't answer the door. Turn around, turn on the T.V./Laptop/Alexa and drown out the his noise until he leaves. That's what we wish we had done. read more

Customer service was outstanding and we received some awesome discounts! The installers worked from 9am to sometimes 5:30pm over three days. Furniture was ready to be moved back in by the time they were done with the grout. They took great care with installation and I felt comfortable leaving home to let them do their job. Originally we weren't going to have them tile the laundry room but was very impressed with their work that we are having them come back next month to do that area. read more

Express flooring stands behind their warranties, customers service, and installation. They replaced our carpet after finding it was faulty. We had our floors installed a few years ago and were promised a FREE CRUISE SHIP trip for two when we signed up! Well, we tried and tried to call, and have since called and called to see when and IF we were ever going to get the free cruise and nobody could tell us an answer, or we could not get a person on the phone, and they were very unpleasant about it when we did contact a human on the phone. We never never got that cruise. Everytime I see their commercial with the promise of the "free cruise" I get annoyed. It's false advertisement! Not to mention the loud yammering woman in their commercials who feels she needs to shout instead of just talk in a normal voice. The flooring installation was ok, not great, because it started buckling soon after installed. Noboday at that company cared to do any kind of follow up.
