DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY!!! My lad had an accident at work, head injury, A&E etc, last week. Yesterday I rang and spoke to Express for over a hour, they asked us many questions, then they confirmed they have accepted our case. Express sent 6 emails to us, confirming they have accepted our case, we completed forms and declarations and returned them taking us about an hour. Then Express rang me at 9am today to say although one member of staff accepts our case, another one won't accept it. Basically they have changed their minds. Very unprofessional, I would advise anyone against dealing with this company, DO NOT trust them as they might just change their mind within a matter of hours. Horrible! They tied to overcharge me 35% commission instead of 20% by law. I had to hire a Barrister they refused to communicate with. They dumped my case and only look after their money by taking me to Court. Insane! Astronomical hidden fees!!! It is all documented and I can saw it. They mixed up my bundle as a revenge when they posted it back to me. They are not communicating with my new barrister. They send you the TRUSPILOT link at the start so they get 5*. BEWARE If you use this company for no win no fee then you should tread very carefully. They pushed the price up of my case when I had already made a verbal agreement a written contract with my solicitor pandrior to her working for express. This was set a 20% which is the most I was willing to pay. My solicitors old firm linder myers also in Manchester was shut down by the sra. I managed to relocate her and she was bow working with express Manchester. This is where all of my problems started regarding fees, hidden costs and I was also made to sign two contacts where the price increased. This all occurred when the management at express realised the value of my claim was significant and they ended up taking a whopping £14,000 for less than 2 years work. To add insult to injury... "pardon the pun" I had put a hard 5 years of work into my case before employing my solicitor for them to then fleece me for an astronomical figure. They took a lot of my compensation away from me and I complained. They promised to resolve my complaint, but didn't. I eventually spoke to the ceo and he was so Un empathetic towards someone who had been a victim in the first place and it was then clear that nothing would be done about my complaint. I appointed to legal ombudsman to review my complaint and they ignored that aswell. I have since reappointed the ombudsman to investigate these charlatans again for their dishonesty, non transparency, false promises, shocking customer service and extortionate fees. Their customer service team are bias and could not even give a resolution to my complaint. I was promised for my complaint to be re assessed by another complaint partner within the company and they then pulled the plug and simply didn't do what they promised to do in writing. Express Solicitors of Manchester refered to my recent telephone conversation with Lesley Toro in their New Client Team. They have considered the details of the assault that I have described to them and the possibility of an application to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA).
