I had my phone couriered from my work place to express tech get my battery fixed. The battery in my iPhone 7 was completely draining in less than an hour no matter what I did. They repaired it within a few hours and brought it back to me at work the same day. I spoke to an employee on the phone the day before I had the courier come pick up my phone for them to repair it. The guy on the phone was friendly and helpful. I wanted to see how the phone worked for awhile after repair. And about a month later it has been great and the battery is like new. The only odd thing that happened in the first few days after repair was that the screen wouldn't respond to touch. The volume, lock and home button worked but the screen was on and wouldn't respond to touch. I did a few hard resets and it would go back to normal and hasn't happened since, but it was a little nerve wrecking at first. Other than that I would return here for other repairs. read more

AVOID AVOID AVOID Do not trust this place with your phone repairs. I brought my iPhone 16 Pro in for a screen replacement, which cost €250. A few weeks later, the screen shattered from a fall of less than a meter - onto a wooden floor - with a protective case on. I returned and was charged another €200 for a second replacement. This time, they added a screen protector - something they should have done in the first place. Not long after, a blue inky patch appeared on the top left of the screen and gradually spread, making the phone completely unusable. Crucially, the phone had not been dropped, hit, or damaged in any way after the second repair. When I went back, they made me wait over an hour while the phone was supposedly being "assessed" (it just sat untouched on a desk). Eventually, I was told I'd need another new screen--and that it wasn't their fault after spending EU550 with them on two screens. Ended up getting it fixed properly by another provider for €150. Bottom line: Terrible customer service, poor-quality parts, and you'll find better prices and reliability elsewhere. Avoid ExpressTech at all costs. read more

Avoid at all costs I left my MacBook with this company over two months ago to fix a screen issue. At first, they told me they were waiting for a replacement screen but since then radio silence. They stopped answering phone calls, emails go ignored, and their support has been completely useless. I've basically handed over my laptop and gotten zero updates or resolution. It feels like they've either lost my device or just can't be bothered anymore. Absolutely unprofessional and irresponsible. Really bad service! Firstly, there was very little clarity around the pricing and everyone I asked had a different answer. Also since I was given a phone to fix as part of a work job the stakes were high and Despite having communicated exactly what I needed done i was met with an excuse and a still broken phone at the end of the day. This happened twicel! (Aug 8th and 9th) I dont know why I went back the second time as the staff were unhelpful the first. Was doing my Beats headphones here. I brought it in, and they said they dont know what's wrong with it and they need check it out. They promised to call on that day before doing anything. OK cool! I was working all day and then they didn't call, so i decided to call them. When i called they said its ready, you have to come collect it and pay 70€. I was shocked! 70€ for what??? So apparently they fixed it. I payed abviously. In about 2 weeks they broke again, i brought it back, they said that couldn't do anything. So worst 70€ i have ever spend in my life. I want to write someone to give my money back or at least fix it. But no. Oh well, at least i will write here. Please don't be attracted by the 4.5 rating of this repair shop like I was. In retrospect I should have listened to the most recent reviews that declared this repair shop to be a ripoff. 1. On the phone a repair for my computer was quoted at 100 EUR. When I got to the shop I was asked to pay 150 EUR instead. 2. When asked to provide a report for insurance purposes they stays it's going to take a couple of days. Two weeks later and after calling them several times I am told that the report will cost 30 EUR. They still asked me for serial numbers etc, as if they did not have all that data from the repair they already did. 3. They advertise "free checkup", where they, for free, check what's wrong with your device and only if you proceed you will pay for the repair. When I got there I was told only internet connectivity and some USB stuff was included in that free check ( so basically pointless marketing speak ). This was THE ORIGINAL REASON why I went with them in the first place. I think this is all planned, since most people once they're in the shop they won't just move to a different shop even after being told what's not covered. For all these reasons please stay far away from this repair shop. There's plenty of other options around with far better support. read more

Dropping your phone and having it stop working because of a cracked screen sucks. You can't do anything - check facebook, use google maps, get into your work mail. Even leave Yelp reviews. Getting a damaged phone repaired at Express Tech doesn't suck - in fact, it's great. Fast professional service, everything clearly explained and a one year warranty. So no my phone is as good as new. Best of all, it only cost EUR155 - by comparison I was quoted $189 by a shop in San Francisco on Sunday and they couldn't even fix my phone that day/ Please don't drop your phones, but if you do, hurry to Express Tech to get it fixed pronto at a fair price... read more

Dropped my phone going through security on my way from California to Dublin and arrived in Ireland with a shattered screen. I yelp'd repair shops and found Express Tech was 10 minutes from my hotel. I quickly walked over there figuring it was a long shot that they would be able to fix it before I left to my next destination in the morning, but I was wrong. They completely saved the day. Within 45 minutes is was better than new, and they charged me less than I would have paid at home in the States. On top of that, the sales associate was incredibly kind and charming. 160 euro to replace a screen for an iphone 6. Apple charges 120 euro for the same thing. I told the guy in the shop this, but he just sarcastically asked if Apple offer a one hour service. I said no, they don't but they do the same job significantly cheaper, plus with apple the warranty remains intact, AND you can be sure Apple KNOW what they are doing. How do these independents arrive at these prices?To me this is like taking your new BMW to some back-alley garage only to be charged 33% percent more than a BMW garage would charge. I'm sure Tech do a grand job, but check with your manufacturer first as they may repair your device cheaper while not voiding your warranty. read more

Really disappointing experience with this shop. Left in a water-damaged iPhone and they replaced the screen. Two days later, I took the phone out of my bag and the top of the screen was cracked. The phone hadn't been dropped, there has been no impact, there appeared to be no reason for the crack. Left a message on the shop's voicemail asking someone to call me and, in response, I received the following text: Hi. Sorry to hear the screen has been damaged in such a recent instance after the repair. Unfortunately our warranty cannot cover physical damage. You can drop it in and we can inspect it but most likely we cannot replace it under warranty. Our guarantee covers part failure or if you feel the repair was imperfect. With such a recent repair I can offer complimentary tempered glass fitting (€15 normally) to assist in preventing screen damage in the future as well as + €5 euro off a new screen. Unfortunately for the last couple of years, Apple has forgone durability for fashion in regards to their devices and has made their recent models more fragile than ever before. Kind regards, Kevin at ExpressTech. Seemed to be a typical automated text. Made me wonder how many people had received it before me. I called into the shop and heard the following statements: "We are the only shop in Dublin that use authentic screens, everyone else is using cheap screens." "We are always busy - look for yourself." "All Google employees bring their phones to us." On the generic text - "We send that text to everyone that makes a complaint." I suggested it might be a better customer service approach to phone a customer back when they've requested it, rather than send a generic text. "We don't have time to do that." So overall, it was a shocking experience of customer-service. I went there because it was convenient for work but - next time - I will take my business back to the shop at Montrose, who may also be interested to hear that according to Express Tech no other shop in Dublin apart from them is using authentic screens! read more

So I've never had to deal with a computer repair place before but this place was amazing! I had gotten water into my computer screen and it wasn't working any longer. The man at the front said to drop it off and it'd be done shortly. 45 minutes and a drink at the pub across the street later and I was back in to pick up my good as new computer. They were prompt and professional and it really helped me out since I went into the place only an hour and a half before it closed for the day. Phone screen sensor was detecting face while on a call and so was muting people, dropping calls etc. Brought to these guys, fixed for a while but the problem reoccurred. Bad right? Na. They had a 1 year warranty on the repair, my details logged from the last visit (lost my receipt as normal), and fixed my phone in under an hour. Friendly staff. Don't get your phone repaired at a dodgy store because it's close by, use a proper service. Very happy with this store, service and staff and will unfortunately have to reuse! read more
