I booked a unit online, tried to stop by the office 4pm on a Thursday and no one was there which was surprising. I own a business so have a few units around CT. I mainly use public storage and I have always had great experiences. I wandered around this place for an hour. I never got sent a map. There is no map posted or signs to navigate the unit number rational which seems to random. I literally could not find the unit number. I went to all entrances, all elevators all floors. I called the number in the office and left a message as I left frustrated that I wanted to cancel my reservation. The property manager was just short with me immediately snapping at me. I got refunded my deposit or whatever but they cannot refund a $30 admin fee. Which is outrageous because there was no admin it was all a computer email/ txts. There was no actual person on site or on the phone who could help me. The guy was obviously frustrated I get it but no reason to take it out on a customer.... He was making very unprofessional comments that were just completely unnecessary. Bottom line, skip this place go to the 30 other newer cleaner storage places in the area. The property manager mentioned he also works at the Bridgeport location which is interesting because I always see staff on site and each time they have gone above and beyond to help. I have never had an issue with staff there and certainly never had the attitude I received here.

Luckily I tried to contact customer service for an explanation for this month's increase and was told by the chatbot that they are only open until 6pm PST. It was noon PST at the time and when I tried again, I realized it is just always closed. So I called the phone number which gives you 2 options. Pay your bill or hang up. No way to get a person. Fed up, I went to an alternative and am now paying 10 times less!! Thank you Public Storage for being so terrible. You are going to save me so much money!

When I contacted customer service, they ended the chat while I was still asking questions. I also asked multiple times if the lock fee was a deposit--they told me not to worry and promised a refund, which never happened. The year before, I shared a unit with friends and rats destroyed 70% of our belongings. Everything was covered in droppings or chewed. After a year of complaints, all they gave us was one free month. Poor service, dishonest communication, and serious cleanliness issues. Avoid this place.

I rented a truck to move my goddaughter into storage since she's on college break. I ended up needing a storage unit at the end because the storage unit I rented (from a competitor) was a whole scam and was demolished. So Tyrell & Myra saved me again. The truck and storage unit were just what I needed. Truck return was easy. The facility is spotless and feels open thanks to the windows around the perimeter. The bathroom is huge and spotless (first time I've ever seen a clean U-Haul bathroom). Tyrell & Myra were handling calls, doing their duties and working the counter. They're the reason your customers use this location so I hope you treat them like the blessing they are to everyone!
