The ambiance is very chill with music playing in the background. We were nicely greeted and given time to see the menu before being asked if this was our first time here. The girl was very nice in letting us know how the menu was and even made suggestions of their best sellers. They do offer the " buzzed" ( alcoholic) ice cream as it's their specialty however they have non- " buzzed " ice cream as well. I liked that even thought they have their recommended flavors, you can still modify them. We got the death by chocolate, but changed the base to vanilla flavor ice cream. I enjoyed seeing how they made the ice cream with nitrogen . Flavors are very rich. It is very cute inside I like that they have an "instagramable" wall with different back grounds. Some of the tables have table games like Jenga , ring toss, and some card games . If you are around the area, I would definitely recommend stopping by. This is a cute date night place or just to hang out and bring the family.

I've been to grandmas a handful of times and every time I go the service is so-so. Today takes the…read morecake though, I order what I always get (Black cherry Piccadilly with gummy bears and extra kool-aid) I get my order taken by a girl who seems to not want to be there, get my raspa and start heading home. About halfway through my rasps I notice something in there that isn't extra kool-aid and Isn't a gummy bear. it's a fly, and not some small little oops I didn't see it fly, I mean a big @$$ fly. if it let me post a picture I would but I don't see the option. Looks like the Health inspector is getting a call first thing Monday morning. Update: I went back and spoke to the manager and she says that "they have no flies in the stand." IF THE FLY IS THE SAME COLOR AS THE RASPA AND I HAVENT BEEN OUTSIDE SINCE GETTING THE RASPA HOW IS THE FLY A BLACK CHERRY RED COLOR? No food place is perfect but at least own up to it. I did get my money back but I will not be going to this raspa stand again. Like I said in the review. Be expecting a visit from the health inspector.

Every time I go they are very quick to get your order, which lets you, be on your way with your "raspa". Bently is usually the one taking the orders and is great at making recommendations from their menu or add-ons that will make you "raspa" that much greater. I totally recommend giving this place a try and my personnel suggestion would be the Piña colada with gummy bears, which is my favorite!

The location by Alamo middle is so much better and honestly the owner needs to get the Weslaco location in check. My last visit here was back in November and when I arrived in January still the same issues. For the price , you would expect the building to have a working seating area for customers however it seems to only be reserved for family members of their employees. Will NOT be coming back anymore which is a shame since I developed a taste for these snacks, hopefully the owner can get his place together.
