Second, it seems like there should be enough seating, but there never is. I know they're limited on space, but it's hard to get a place to sit. Last, the layout is weird. There's no "line" area, and nowhere to really wait for you food. So what ends up happening is just a lot of people milling around in each others' way. But when I did and tried to use the card to buy gas at Maverik it was refused. The store could not figure it out. But I bought a soda on the card and it went through. The nitro card has worked for a soda several times. The clerk/s asked me numerous times to call the corporate number and finally I did. The are located in the Philippines and thus difficult to communicate with. But I was told they couldn't see a not see a problem. I asked for a supervisor but after waiting 15 minutes was told they were too busy but would call me. Well, it never happened! After a few days and encouragement from local Maverik clerks I called again. Same problem except this time a manager finally came on line and told me my account was turned over for collection to a credit bureau. It was for just a few dollars but now my credit is ruined. Until this fiasco with Maverik I had perfect credit. What a mess for me!

The reason I'm leaving a bad review it's…read morethis. here is what happened, my parents car broke down after getting gas, we immediately called the insurance to get a company to tow away the car, my parents let the owner know that a towing company was on its way, they waited for about an hour, and the company had not shown up, the owner went up to my parents and told them if the towing company didn't show up in 20 minutes he was gonna call a local towing company to have it towed away.. by the way the vehicle was parked in a parking spot, so car was not in anyone's way. My dad and mom, manage to move it around the corner going into traffic. Definitely dangerous for elan elderly couple.. Couldn't understand the owner actions! For every $100 spent at Safeway the customer receives $0.10 off per gallon of gas. If you have reward points built up then this is the place for you every time as you will get a great deal each time. Every once in awhile Safeway will give extra gas rewards for what ever reason. I managed to have $.50/gallon off in July due to a special they were running. It is nice to have incentives to save at the pump especially during the summer when the prices soar. I am not the biggest fan of the way the pumps are set up. One way in and one way out but the area to drive around the pumps to the other side is so narrow that one's car can be clipped. There is more than enough room to have increased the pull around area by a few feet that way insuring safety for all! Also, I don't understand why gas stations feel the need to charge if you use "credit." I understand they most likely pay a minimal fee to process the transaction but gas stations already make hand over fist and I am of the thought they should simply suck it up:) I have only dealt with an attendant a couple of times here and both times they were friendly but nothing to write home about. Very small selection of goodies as the store is across the lot. If you are a smoker this is not the place you want to buy them as they range from $7.5-$8 per pack and one can find them for dollars less elsewhere. Build up rewards over a month by shopping at safeway to see how many reward points you can build up and enjoy saving a few dollars here and there.

THE SETUP This is an excellent Chevron stop in Coeur d'Alene and is just within a block of the "big store" power shopping we were doing at Costco and Home Depot. As it turns out - even though the gas is a bit more than many other branded gas stations - on this trip of expenses that we were tracking, this Chevron had one of the LOWEST gas prices of any Chevron that we found in the Pacific Northwest. FREE ICE Add to the gas convenience, this stop also let me fill up my sport bottle for free with all the ice I needed for my own soda. THE LOWDOWN Much obliged, Kathleen Chevron!

Well after paying the pump didn't work properly. The money was prepaid, I followed the directions, took the pump off the hook raised the level and squeezed the handle. Nothing came out and the sale didn't change on the screen. I went inside to talk to the clerk on duty, Marla. Now let me say she was great and the owner is lucky to have her as an employee. I told her the problem and she was going to immediately come out and take a look but I told her it could wait since she had a line of people checking out. After helping each person she came out to check the pump and saw it hadn't issued any gas and recognized there was a problem. Marla then checked the register and saw the sale had cancelled itself out because of the wait caused by the line of customers. At this point Marla was going to refund my card but we both knew that wouldn't solve the problem since a refund isn't immediate and I need the gas to get home. My red light was already on and had been for a while. Because of the situation Marla called her manager Barbara who was offsite to get a resolution that would work. This however turned into a big mistake. I sat there and watched Marla try her best to explain the situation to her manager however Barbara had no idea how to stop taking and actually listen. Right there we wasted 10 minutes. Barbara kept insisting Marla run my card again even after I pulled up my bank account on my phone and showed the amount had already been pre-approved and a hold had been placed on my account. So Barbara's next solution was to refund my card which apparently as a manager she didn't understand isn't immediate and still didn't resolve the issue of me paying for gas to get home. After wasting everyone's time and telling Marla 3x's she didn't want to speak to me she finally gave in and Marla handed me the phone. Now you would think the first thing a manager would do when speaking to an upset customer is introduce herself and apologize for the situation but no her opening line was I understand what's happening and explained to me how they would have to charge me again for gas again. After listening to everything she had to say I kindly explained to her that my card had a hold and the bank had issued an approval code when they ran my card. With that approval code they had received authorization before I could even finish my sentence she interrupted me, said they would have to charge again, in her own words say I was wrong and a liar. I cut her off and said very nicely I let her speak to me without interrupting and I expected the same from her. Apparently expecting any kind of customer service from Barbara shouldn't be expected. She tried to put me in my place and I very directly told her I wanted the name of the owner. She refused and I asked again. Her response "Well have her call him instead of me" I told her that was no problem and I would be more than happy to and hung up. I gave the phone back to Marla and asked her to call the owner when she finished with her line of people. Now at this point I was still polite despite having a manager treat me like crap because she didn't feel like doing her job. Marla did the right thing at this point and apologized for the situation, finished with her line of customers and processed a sale to cover the gas I had already paid for. She then came out to the pump and made sure it worked properly for me. Marla gave amazing customer service and could honestly teach Barbara a lesson about retaining customers and turning a negative situation into a positive one. Because of the time wasted I wasn't able to make my appointment and now have to reschedule and drive to the area again. Which means I have to spend more gas. So it cost me more money to get one gallon. I wasted over 20 minutes to fill up and would have never considered coming back except Marla's effort to make the situation correct is the reason I would give them another chance. If you ever have a problem and have to deal with Barbara's attitude and lack of respect then please be advised the owner is Kheara. If you are lucky enough to have Marla as your clerk than make sure to thank her for being a great employee and let her know she makes a difference m. Because of her people enjoy coming here. My star is strictly for Marla understanding and delivering the customer service that any business needs to retain customers and succeed
