We took it to a local mechanic rather than driving it 20 miles back to Grafton. The repair cost $500, and despite having a 90-day 50/50 "warranty," they did not cover any of the cost. When we purchased the vehicle, it didn't have a spare tire. They told us if we brought it back to them, they'd get rid of the spare tire carrier underneath the van (that we won't be using) and finish the undercoating they'd started, and we could pick it up the next day. When we were told it wouldn't be finished when promised, we decided to just go ahead and get our van back. We DID receive a spare tire and a rim, but the tire is not mounted on the rim, so now we have an additional expense and inconvenience. These guys were so nice that my husband and I planned on purchasing cars from them for our two grandchildren. I'm grateful that we had this experience, because I don't want anyone treating them the way we were treated by Hilltop Auto.

Thankfully the folks a Frey's were able to do it. They had to replace the spark plugs, ignition packs, and the timing belt. Portions of the engine had to be taken apart in order to get to certain components. When I got the car back, it ran better than the day I got it. I mean, a lot better. Gas mileage became significantly better and the car became silent when idle. To top it off, I didn't break the bank getting all the work done. All these fixes together aren't exactly cheap no matter how you slice it, but it was much less than what I would have paid anywhere else. The value and quality of work are there. If your car needs something done, take it to Frey's.

Triangle's mechanic was able to contact my dealership and get the part order transferred to his name, so I didn't even have to drive back out there to get it. He then gave me a ride home after I dropped off my car, and dropped my car off at my home when the work was done! I just got home from going back to pay up, and I'm assuming it must have only taken half an hour to fix, because they also only charged me half the hourly rate. All in all, it was less than 1/3 what my dealership said it'd cost. I know where I'll be going the next time my car needs anything!

NICHOLSONS AUTO !!!…read more Beware!! My insurance company called NICHOLSONS Auto in Salem, WV to tow my Camaro from center pointe to Big Isaac. This was on December 3rd right before the snow storm. This Is the reason I'm just now finding the damage. We dont drive camaros in snow storms or bad weather. The lady on the phone says well how Do we know WE caused the damage. I said because the car was fine before if got towed here and hasn't moved since. Now the front right tire is bent 12 inches to the right. Obviously something happened in tow and they want to deny it now. I'll just get my insurance and a lawyer involved.
