I have been coming to this eye doctor facility for years. I have been seeing Dr. Wild and he has always been personably. This last visit was a quick yearly eye exam. Dr. Wild had answered questions I had. This visit took longer due to the facility getting a new system. They had to put in all my information in the system as if I was a new patient. Dr. Swindler was my doctor initially, but he left the practice shortly after I had eyelid surgery. I saw Dr. Wild for my follow-up, and he was fine, but didn't take much time with me. Even though I had only requested a one-year vision exam for the next time, and I again saw Dr. Wild briefly, I was charged for a medical exam, which was submitted to Medicare instead of my Vision insurance. The billing department flatly refused to use my Vision insurance. When I asked to talk to Dr. Wild, I was told he was too busy. I left several messages, emails, and even a personal letter asking to speak with him. He never called me back, I believe that good leadership is very important in developing the attitudes and behaviors of support staff. His indifference is my cue to seek another practice. read more

I scheduled this appointment to get a second opinion on a "diagnosis" that I'd received from a lasic consultation. I went through pre-screening then sat with Dr. Wild for my vision tests and findings. He asked me if I had any concerns with my eyes. I said "no". He then asked if I was sure. I said "yes I'm sure, do you see anything?" His reply was "no". He went on to tell me that my prescription didn't change much and I see 20/20 in my current prescription in both eyes. When he handed me my prescription it was higher than my current prescription by a whole point and a quarter in one eye and one point on the other. I decided to get a third opinion. The third opinion lined up with the first diagnosis from the first optometrist. Dr. Wild seems to have gotten my prescription wrong and I wouldn't have known had I not been skeptical. This is a huge deal and quite unfortunate. He also says he didn't see the damage to my sclera that two other eye doctors confirmed and showed me. I was referred here because of an eye infection back in June, the amount of time I had to wait was a bit long but most medical offices around Kokomo typically are. The staff was courteous, and Dr. Swindler was knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend them to for eye care, I don't know about the their regular exams or prices for glasses since those were not the reasons for my visit. read more

Terrible customer service in contact department. New person took over contact department. Called to order contacts and I had questions. My call went to voicemail. I specifically asked for a return call. I never received follow up call. A few days passed, I called back to inquire. Again, call goes to voicemail and I left a message. This time when the person in charge of the contact department returned my call they were rude. They informed me that they do not call people back when orders are placed via phone. I received a call that my contacts were ready to be picked up. I go in to pick up the contacts and am informed that I should have ordered a one year supply so that I would be eligible to use the care credit 0% interest for six months payment plan. At that time, I state that I do want to order another six month supply so that I would be eligible to receive a 0% financing through Care credit. There were problems during that process due to complications of person handling my transaction. After an extremely long amount of time at the window trying to get this transaction processed, the woman helping me was able to receive help from someone else and expedite the transaction. After paying, I asked for my contacts that I had came to pick up. The person in charge of the contact department was called to the front desk and informed me that I could not leave there with the six month supply of contacts that I had just purchased. I was told that I will have to wait until the other six month supply arrives. When the other six month supply of contacts arrive, I went to the office to get them. Once again there was confusion as to whether or not I had paid for these contacts and I was required to wait an extended amount of time again. I would like to state that I feel that the women that were at the checkout counter were doing the best they could to assist me during both encounters, I politely informed the woman at the front desk of my issues and told her I will not be returning as a customer. A few weeks later, I received a call informing me it's time for my eye exam and inquiring as to when I would like to schedule. Once again, I told them I won't be back. I understand if that is the actual policy concerning the dispensing of my contacts. My whole issue is it seems that there was a bunch of confusion, lack of training and poor customer service on behalf of the person in charge of the contact department. If the lady had just returned my call as I originally requested most of this frustration could have been avoided. read more

This place is a rip off. The assistants do all the work then move you to a different room. When the doctor came in, he was in the room for less than 60 seconds. What a joke... Co pay for the eye appointment and co pay for optical. What??? The optical girls are uneducated and clueless. You can tell that they are encouraged to sell you the most expensive frames and lenses possible.. 2 weeks to get your glasses. Recommend getting your frames from Amazon. It'll save you a bunch of money. Do your research on eye care. I'm not ever coming back here. read more

Eye Physicians - Optometrists Near Me - Kokomo, Indiana

Eye Physicians seems to care more about efficiency than genuinely caring for their patients, i.e., than building a relationship with their patients. The eye exam is not comprehensive and is rushed. Patients are shuffled from one room to the next, and the doctor only takes about 60 seconds in the room. Getting out quickly is nice, sure, but when I was given a new prescription and then came back to double check because my eye sight wasn't quite right, I was instructed to make an appointment out in September and essentially "deal with it" until then, leaving me to pay for their mistake. My husband wasn't able to get an appointment in time for insurance, so he went to Walmart Vision in town, and they did an incredible job! They took their time, were thorough, and relational. We will be going there from now on. read more

I woke up with a nasty eye infection and the staff was able to get me in to see Dr. Wild. He is always so polite and explains it so that I can understand it. Also saw him & a few others - a few months back when my kitten scratched my eye. All of them were super nice & caring! read more

I have always been very pleased with the competency of the doctors at Eye Physicians and further impressed with the fact they are also MDs. I have not been impressed with the wait time while at the office. A simple visit take 60 to 90 minutes of my time of which I actually see a doctor for less than 10 minutes. Additionally, their billing practices leave something to be desired. It seems to me if a patient has to repeatedly go back for the same service/procedure because it didn't work the first time they shouldn't bill twice nor bill for follow-up office visits, again for the same procedure that should have worked the first time. read more

Everyone at Eye Physicians were friendly and helpful. Dr. Dinn was very professional and diagnosed possible situation with glaucoma for me, which my mother had.
