I have been searching for a new salon for months and had been unsuccessful in finding what I was looking for locally, until I was lucky enough to stumble upon EYEFUL BEAUTY! I want to start by saying that I never write reviews but I find it absolutely necessary to post this! I had the best experience and the most fun at this salon then I've had anywhere before... Starting with the funky decor, how comfortable the atmosphere is, friendly staff, right down to Mumbles the cat! On to the most important part.....Any salon can have what I mentioned above but whats really important is how happy you are with the cut, style, color, etc..that has been given to you by your stylist. I went to my appointment with a couple of ideas but was really unsure of what I really wanted. I decided to let Meghan (the salon owner) use her creative eye to create the right look for me. I am so glad I did!!! It is apparent to me that not only is Meghan, friendly, down to earth, and a very professional, talented stylist, but she is truley an artist! I can only say in closing, that I feel fortunate to be a client of hers, because I have a feeling that in the future, it will be very difficult to obtain her services. I booked a perm service under my name although the appointment was scheduled for my son, who is a minor. I did not realize that this was an issue. When I called to inform Karen of our arrival, she was taken aback that the appointment was for my son (if anything, this would have been an easier appointment since he has less hair compared to mine). She was certainly bothered by this. Her tone was unsettling so I replied with, "Well, if it is a big deal, I can come another time." Rather than simply seeing him, she needed to justify why the appointment had to be under his name. I called her back to inform her that I would be taking my business elsewhere. Her response was, "Well, I'm here" - certainly a response that reflects her name. Good customer service would entail asking why I would consider giving my business elsewhere. I have no problem taking accountability for booking an appointment under the wrong name (all you had was a name anyway, no other information). However, do not state that it is not big deal, yet turn it into one. It is not as if we did not show up for our appointment or change services at the last minute. Karen really needs to think before she speaks. read more

I started going to eyeful beauty a few years ago. I was trying to get a really light color (im usually a med/light brown) and the stylist id been seening hadnt really dont much with my hair. I think a lot of people are scaref of making you "too blonde" rigt away. My friend told me to see meg at eyeful beauty. I wet showed meg a pic of what i wanted and she explained in real people talk (im a nurse so i dont really get thw hair dresser lingo about color and what-not) what she could do now an so on. It came out so great i kept going back! She got me almost to the blonde i wanted then right before my wedding i stressed and said i need some brown tok and she did that perfectly! She explains how it will look without telling you what to do or that its a stupid idea and u will look dumb The staff at eyeful beauty did the hair and make up for me and my girls anno cant even tell you the amount of "you all look amazing" we got! They are are all so friendly and fun and outgoing! They joined in with convos and didnt just sit there doing hair and whisper to each other (which ive seen hair dressers do) Going into the salon is always a fun exporence too! Every moth they gave a new artist that displays their work. Its always colorful and fun! Meg always remembers me by name and Josh at the desk ia funny and attentive asking if you want water, coffee or some kind of baked treat! Shelly is te same she is young ans fun and so talented! She does my mothers hair. My mother neer likes her hair immdeiately after ahe geta it done but ahe did with shelly! Meg is the owner and really keeps up wih education for her and the staff. They are always telling about the mew things they learn. Which is great because the science of hair is always changing! I love eyeful beauty and cant imagine eer going anywhere else! read more

This is my salon of choice as it is always in style, has an incredibly gorgeous layout, and the staff always makes me feel at home. Also, I have never walked out of here feeling like less than a million bucks. I usually go to Meg but she was unavailable so I went to Nicole and even though I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair she managed to get my haircut perfect to compliment my features and my hair was/is shiny and soft! Honestly it's never been so soft! I got it done Friday and it still looks amazing today (Sunday) and I am still getting compliments! I definitely recommend coming here for your beauty needs. I can't say enough good things about this salon! For starters, I have naturally curly, thick hair that I foil. I have lived in Lowell for about 9 years and have yet to find a hairdresser/salon that could "get it right" so I have continued to travel an hour south to my original hairdresser. I heard about Eyeful Beauty through some friends at the gym. I started following them on FB and decided to check them out. I started slow with just going in for a blow out to this crazy curly hair of mine, I was very happy!! The staff was very friendly and not uptight! Nikki was great and did a fantastic job with my blow out. After chatting with Nikki and getting some more info about Eyeful and the staff and products I decided to book an appointment for a partial foil with Sheilagh. (Nikki highly recommended her for foils) I had the opportunity to speak with Sheilagh on the phone before my appointment and chat about my hair. I was very happy with our conversation and she put some of my fears to rest (as I was very anxious) When I arrived to my appointment I was greeted by several of the staff and offered coffee, tea, water,etc. Sheilagh came over, introduced herself and we sat and chatted for at least a half hour looking at pictures and various shades of blonde! She was extremely patient and gracious at the same time! Since I was a nervous nelly from having "bad hair experiences" previously at other salons, I couldn't ask enough questions and she was beyond patient and understanding! Not only that, she was confident without being over the top about her ability to do my hair! After several hours in the chair, I am thrilled to say that I was more than happy at the big reveal! Sheilagh got it!! She listened and understood what I wanted, she took her time and was a perfectionist when checking my foils to make sure that my hair was coming up the right shade and not under or over processing!! I was so happy I hugged her and booked my next 2 appointments! To many reading this you may think, how hard can it be to get foils right?? Well, trust me through years of trial and error and experimenting with new salons and hairdressers, I learned the hard way...that it can be very difficult! I have been orange, red, brassy and even gray!! I am so happy that I decided to check out Eyeful Beauty, meet Sheilagh and the staff! I am absolutely thrilled with the color of my hair not to mention that traveling to get my hair done has officially ended and I have found my new home!! I thought this place was going to be great based on the reviews (mostly 4-5 star reviews) I wanted to try a better place that would put some pizzazz into my hair especially since I was a couple days away from going on vacation. I made an appointment for my brother and I and I had told them it would be our first time there and we went in that afternoon. When I got in, I was greeted by Shei lagh (Not sure if i spelled it right), she had me sit down and we got started. I asked for a faux-hawk (typically what I usually get), but the stylist said "I don't see a faux-hawk on you", I say OK sure, as i'm open to whatever she thinks looks good. She's supposed to know this stuff right. She did a failed attempt and unveiled a wrecked version of a faux-hawk which wasn't much different than before the haircut...I thought I was getting a hair cut not a crappy trim whilst forcing a shit ton of wax into my hair and making it into a bullshit fauxhawk. She asked me how I wanted my sideburns and I wanted them pointy ...I got some side burns that were half-way pointy. I'm not sure if this place deserves all the raves it gets on yelp. It could be the stylist I'm not sure. I didn't leave happy that's the best way to say it especially for how much I paid. Maybe she just sucks at cutting men's hair? But I do have asian hair and that shit is thick and hard to cut, Nom' Sayin'? I'll rate it a 2/5 stars because...well my hair looked like crap (with wax). It also grew back in about 2 weeks which I don't mind coming back to trim every couple weeks (I'm willing to pay the money) but the hair in general looked like shit. read more

All the girls are focused and busy at work, but always checking in to make sure you don't need anything, whether it's something to drink or a trip to the bathroom. All I have to say is wow. I went in here for the first time Saturday morning to get the ratty ends on my hair trimmed off. The salon has quirky decor and a really fun vibe. Everyone at the salon was friendly and genuine, and Mumbles the cat was a bonus! Nikk cut my hair and did an incredible job. Since my bridal shower was later that day, she spent a lot of time curling it into a gorgeous style. When I got to the shower, everyone remarked on how great my hair looked. When I checked out, I was floored at how inexpensive it was, especially considering how much time was spent. I must admit that I was a little nervous given my classic style and the punk rock vibe at the salon, but Nikk gave me an incredible haircut that was just my speed. Yesterday morning, I styled the hair myself and it came out great, which I feel is the mark of a good haircut. Thank you ladies! I will be back for sure. read more

Yay! Found my new hair salon! Nikki did a fabulous job on my high and low lights. I'm even more appreciative b/c they were able to fit me in the next day after I put an online request in. Its a fun, funky and professional place where the staff seems very knowledgeable and takes the time to talk out possibilities. Saw some fabulous cuts and color walk out while I was there! I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair, and my make up. The amazing ladies at Eyeful beauty put me to ease during my hair and make up application for a photoshoot I was about to do. Just the way they interacted with me, I knew I was in good hands. I was 100% correct. One day one, Shelley R. did my make up. It was done to perfection, right down to my barbie pink lips. She was absolutely phenomenal. Meghan did my hair that day. Fun, sexy, wavy hair. I absolutely LOVED it. She asked me what I wanted, and she exceeded my expectations. One day two: Nicole did both my hair and make up. I said I wanted a smokey eye and curly hair. She gave me a subdued smokey eye and awesome wavy hair. It was better than I imagined. The girls at Eyeful Beauty know exactly how to make each individual look their absolute best, and exceed expectations. They are fierce and take risks with their hair and make up. I never NEVER seen any of them not look completely perfect. They are true professionals. I live pretty far from there, but have recently decided I need a hair cut, I will be driving about an hour or so to get my hair cut by these amazing women. I have been getting my hair cut here for the longest time. My boyfriend recommended it to me and I decided to give it a try. I have never had a bad cut or color here. Meg cuts my hair and every time I go in we decide on something new and different, as of right now my head is pretty much shaved. I trust Meg and let her do what she thinks will look best and she has yet to steer me wrong. My last experience at a salon was so demeaning I didn't go to another one for over a year. After reading the reviews for Eyeful I decided to give them a go. I am so very glad I did. This funky, playful salon isn't going to court you with big fancy anything. They don't have to! I sat with Jaci for 15 minutes, going over exactly the haircut I wanted, looking at photos, and comparing colour samples to get the right combination for ME. Not you, nor my mom, ME. And you know, I'd bet she'd do the same for you, too! Afterwards I was THRILLED with the results. She told me the colour would mellow a bit after a couple of washes. It did, but it was no less beautiful. I've gotten so many compliments on my hair, and I absolutely feel it's the best money I've spent on a hair style in years. Not only did Jaci care about my wishes before the cut, but just yesterday I got an email asking if I was still satisfied with it. I went to this salon hoping it would be great. Unfortunately it was not. I was a new client and there was no sense of wamth in the salon (other than the pleasant receptionist). I got a new cut and the stylist didn't even tell me how to do my hair. The was no follow up after I got my cut. Im not going Back since they don't seem to care about the clients. Disappointing. Eh, not sure how I feel about this place. I've been probably about 3 times. I don't think I'll go back. I didn't have a horrible experience or anything, it's just that I feel like the owner is extremely moody so at times you feel this vibe of a really bad mood & its uncomfortable. She didnt actually act rude to me but I saw her be kind of rude one of her staff memebers & also to a woman who walked in who was trying to raise money for a good cause. For me personally, I dont like to see other people treated rudely. It says something to me if you are super nice to me but then turn around and give someone else a big attitude. My hair is thick and naturally wavy. For years, I've blow dried and straightened my hair because I didn't have the right cut or products to do so. I had been faithful to my colorist for over 4 years. We used to work together and she always did an amazing job - without question. However, my one complaint was that she just didn't seem to have faith in my decisions when I would say things like : "I want to dye my dark red hair bleach blonde, cut bangs, and put another layer of color underneath" and other "crazy" suggestions I have had over the years. I met Meghan and when I told her my idea she very enthusiastically replied "I can do that! No problem!". Meghan is fearless and not only does she do what you want, she adds her own creative perspective resulting in fun, funky, and phenomenal hair! One word. LOVE. Jaci did my hair today and it couldn't have come out more perfect or more exact than what I asked for! Last July I had a horrible bleaching experience and I have been terrified to even go near a bottle of hairspray, my hair was bleach blonde and uneven, in October of 2013 I had a semi-permanent color (close to my natural light brown) put in. Needless to say one year later the old color had faded and my terrible memories of my bleach blonde hair were starting to show through in a weird wanna be hombre Sorta way. Terrible, especially considering I'm getting married in two weeks! I made a appointment with Jaci (she fit me in the next day!) and drove nervously to get my very dry, damaged, & precious hair dyed permanently to the color I hoped for. I explained what had happened and what I wanted and after 5 minutes of speaking with her I felt 100% at ease and I trusted everything she said she would accomplish, and let me tell you she accomplished it! My hair feels so healthy and looks amazing! I HIGHLY recommend eyeful beauty, every client there seemed to be very satisfied regulars and now I look forward to going back rather than being more terrified to get a dye job than go to the dentist (I'm really terrified of the dentist). it's a cool salon with great staff and best off all they do a great job!!! read more

Omg! I love this salon. From the moment I walked in I was treated to a beverage of my choice. No wait. Meghan was my stylist and she is fantastic. She asked me questions about my hair, my likes and dislikes in regards to my present style, then together we decided on what would work best. I loved the final result. I have curly dry hair.
