They toyed with my prescription like if it was a hot pancake from one rep to the next eventually loosing it and sending me to a different location because they were not able to handle the prescription. The place is hot and moldy, with a giant fan running constantly. I visited here three times in one month and each time I was given a different script for contacts, I was never able to see properly. I finally got an ok script, and when I went to get my contacts and glasses in shop, I spotted a sign with a discount on two pairs of glasses, but when I went to buy them, the price for glasses was triple the amount. I understand that there is a cost for the frame and another cost for the lenses, but the pricing offered seemed exorbitant. I called before and spoke to the manager on duty and asked if they would put lenses in existing new frames and they said yes. I explained the frames are metal folding Kanda SlimFold frames. I came in and waited for someone to help me for about 15 minutes, everyone seemed to be on lunch at the same time. Then I was handed off to 3 different people. After another 20 minutes, I was told that my glasses had no screw to put and hold the lenses and they could not do the lenses. What an unorganized waste of my time. The next day I went to a Yelp 5 star eye glasses store and was told of course there is a screw to hold and tighten the lenses. I was was in and out in 20 minutes all with the same person. I have been using these frames for at least 25 years, buying SlimFold reading glasses and putting RX lenses in them. read more

STAY AWAY!!!!! This store doesn't even deserve 1 star. This location needs to be shut down immediately. I've been wearing eyeglasses for over 30 years and have never experienced such a circus of so called doctors. I first went in and the doctor gave me the wrong prescription for both my contacts and glasses. He was insistent the prescription was right only to reexamine my eyes to see he was wrong by over 1.00 point on each eye for the contacts. The glasses he gave me when I put them on I immediately lost all depth perception. After receiving my new prescriptions they fit me for new glasses because the different eye glass doctor said I needed different frames as well more fitted for my face. I then got the new frames and the new prescription set and told to come back 2 weeks later. I went back and they didn't change my prescription in my glasses nor did they give me my new frames that I was told to pick out. They literally gave me the same old glasses with the old wrong prescription and frames. read more

My experience here was just wonderful. The first visit was because I had scratched a lens on my glasses and I was leaving for a vacation in two days and was in a panic about getting my lens repaired quickly. The sales person who sold us glasses was real sweet and helpful and that is why I am giving three stars. After spending over $200 (2 for $79 deal is a scam), I never received a phone call to pick up glasses. Rather I received a postcard in the mail two weeks later telling me the glasses were ready for pick up. Wow! My glasses from Costco were ready in one week. This place two weeks really? When I arrived to pick up the glasses there were four workers and no customers. I was ignored for a while before being serviced. The customer service lady proceeded to pick up the phone and assist the caller with an order. It was dinner time so my kids were super cranky and I promised we would be in and out. I walked to the counter and demanded to have my glasses. This story is not much different than others who receive bad service. It is sad places like this continue to stay open. I've been to this location 2x and had issues both times. The first issue was resolved after the fact thankfully but the second issue has not. They offer a $25 referral program...but if you refer someone, don't expect to be rewarded after your referral!! I was told I'd receive an email in 2 weeks with a $25 gift card for successfully referring someone. I've checked all folders...nothing has been sent to me. It's been over 6 weeks. Yesterday my husband and I spent over two hours and $1200 on eye exams and two pair of glasses each. The eye exam clerks were like a comedy of errors, one almost charged me $1000 accidentally. The other kept messing up my husband's receipt. Finally we got two receipts, but only one receipt had a breakdown of charges. We went to get the actual glasses after that, picked out our two frames each. The woman took a very very long time to do whatever she was doing with the scripts and charging for the lenses and frames. We started making jokes about how long it took, it was like a car buying experience being trapped there. Finally she handed us two folded brochures after charging us about $500 each for our glasses. I thought the receipt was in the brochure, got it home, no receipt no breakdown of costs. Then I read you could only return the glasses with a receipt. For the amount of money spent, I expected a receipt with a breakdown of costs. I will call tomorrow and see if there is a way to get receipts after the fact. I must say the clerks were all very friendly and affable but when it came to their job, not so competent. read more

The doctor was great ! How ever the ladies out in the eye glass area not so great ! Poorly organized! There was 3 people helping us and they kept switching up back and forth ... We were there for about 3 hours and 3/4 of that time was dealing with the girls for our glasses .... the lenses aren't priced badly but the way they price out the lenses is very expensive!!! I've been to Eyeglass World several times now with glasses that the bow has been bent out of shape when somebody sat on it and once when the frames were twisted. Each time, I was treated warmly and with respect. Each time, Theresa has been the person who has expertly brought the proper shape back to the bows and frame. The entire group of people welcome me with kind smiles when I come into the store. I'm always been made to be comfortable as if at home.... (nice touch) When I see Theresa I know I won't allowed to feel stupid because of the need to repair my glasses. It's always, instead, "good to see you back and how can I help." Seems like the pleasantry is genuine as well as the humor. She even walks me to the door when to say good bye. Kinda feels like fellowshipping with family. Great place to have eyecare and eye products, but even better by the service which is offered. I never felt hustled nor rushed. To be fair, I don't know if it was that my new prescription was difficult to adjust to or them. It took at least 5 visits for the opticians to adjust the glasses until they were fine. As returning customers, my mother and I had another wonderful experience at Eyeglass World at the Lake Worth store. Before visiting the store, I had amazing customer service over the phone a few times from Shameem. She was kind and helpful. When my mother and I walked into Eyeglass World, Susi warmly greeted us. It was an extremely hot day, and William offered my 90 year old mother a cup of water. We were so fortunate to have Theresa help us with the eye glass order. Instead of having to walk around the store and have my indecisive mother spend two hours or more trying to pick out her frame, Theresa, within two minutes, selected the most beautiful frame. My mother and I loved it. I needed to get my mother glasses that same day, but unfortunately, there were no appointments left for an eye exam. Theresa called the Palm Beach Garden Gardens store and made an appointment for my mother. We drove there and she had her eye exam. Then we returned to the Lake Worth store and her glasses were ready. Kudos to Abraham and Gary, the amazing lab techs who made the glasses and gave them to us the same day. Overall, Eyeglass World gave us complete and perfect one day service. Called in to make an apt, told them we were coming from Juno and was told that we could be seen. We called back to see if the last prescription was still valid and we were told it was so we canceled our apt. Drove all the way there was told to just look around with no one helping us. Then come to find out the prescription was "misread" by 3 months and now it was too late for them to do a contact exam but a glass exam was ok?!?
