Maybe some customer service classes would help.......but not likely. This stems from management. One star would be better. In asking questions from Stephanie regarding the warranty, just for an example, Her response became a bully session because she either did not know or?????? Is she financially invested in this company that she can authorize the cancellation of my completed sale for new glasses? After I left the store and returned in an hour was the "bully" response, in front of customers that became privy to her personal assault verbally. She created a scenario to justify her actions. The Product was great but I am a Native American Transgender Woman. The first time I went in two customers were sitting in the doctors office were pointing and laughing at me & I told them " what are you looking at. " The young pretty Latina Woman who was helping me got bothered that I defended myself & rushed me out the store, she was also being very rude. I'm in public & should be able to buy a product just like everyone else. Your employees should be trained to be more sensitive, maybe she should have even told the other women something or just ignored it. The second time I went the tall woman was being rude too. Went to Eyemart Express today to purchase glasses. We signed in, sat down and waited. Then we continued to wait for 45 minutes with horrendous customer service. Not only did staff check the sign in board for new glasses purchase they looked at the customers waiting and said nothing. Then they prioritized pick up and repair over new glasses. It was apparent that they were lacking in professionalism by failing to communicate a wait. It is also evident that there is a breakdown in their operations. After 45 minutes, we placed the glasses back on the shelf and left. This is the second time this has happened. Now, I will not go back unless it is absolutely necessary. read more

First and foremost sexual harassment/images in employee area. Derogatory music playing loud into lobby, plus I will never go to this business again. Nor will I refer anyone to this business. It was the 1st of May that I needed to purchase glasses for myself and my little girl. Myself and my family had gone into this business and browsed a few frames while they were all busy. My little girl has to use the bathroom, so we go down this long hallway to find a young gentleman James or Jake I can't remember because this poor kind gentleman is apologizing constantly for the loud, offensive music being heard throughout the store and the bathrooms. I have never heard or witnessed anything so rude before and not concerned about being a professional place of employment. Here are some of the words being heard throughout the store. N** word. B** word. C**, D**, P** ect. Let me remind you my little girl, 6 years old hearing this. My husband is irate about the situation but if it wasn't for the young gentleman and his kind words, apology after apology for this kind of nonsense going on my husband would of went in and told the young man with a pony tail to turn it off now. This is specifically for the Dr office. I came for an appointment two weeks ago. I waited almost 40 mins past my appointment time. I am here again for a follow up to check the fit of my contacts. Already 8 mins past my appointment time. Not sure how that works when you're the fist appointment. Super annoyed at the disrespect they have for their customer's time. No reason I should be sitting here waiting when I was told 9 15 was the first appointment and I made that appointment and showed up 5 mins prior to appointment time. What a joke. My husband went there to get a check up and see if he needed glasses once all that was over, we asked for a release letter stating that he's good to go back to work for his work Dr and they made one for his work and said they'll fax the Dr release letter to the Drs office we called two days later to make sure they sent it and they didn't they stated they won't make one for his work Dr because that's something they don't do when they had said they did, they said they'll call him back and they never did. so then his work Dr called the office called to get a letter releasing him and this eye Dr told him no he's not making another letter. Great service all around! Walked in as a new patient (walk in). They fit me in between scheduled patients and even than the wait was not long. From the point I checked in to receiving my new glasses was only 4 hours altogether! The ladies were so helpful during check in and my screening. The provider was helpful explaining everything. EyeMart Express located in 3050 E Lohman Ave, Ste F, Las Cruces, NM 88011 provided a price for frame glasses on 11/23/2022 at 9:00 am with Medicaid coverage and lied about what Medicaid actually covers. He said that With Medicaid coverage the glasses would cost 120 dollars but he failed to mentioned that a regular material (not Index material) would be at no cost. When I called this employee, who identified himself as Edgar, he told me that it is the consumer who makes de decision but he only gave me one option and it was the most expensive one. He was unapologetic and we got into a verbal confrontation over the phone as I got frustrated with his unapologetic demeanor. This employee is overselling patients with Medicaid by not disclosing purchases in which Medicaid cover the full amount of the purchase and is only giving the more expensive options. The attitude of this person was so blatantly unapologetic and it seems that this practice of overselling will not end any time soon. In my opinon, Medicaid users should skip this store. read more

We had an eye glass emergency my son was in San Diego and his glasses where well let's say somewhere in the Pacific Ocean . Unfortunately we had to drive that light back home and his doctors couldn't get him in no optometrist would get him seen until November even knowing he need s these to drive and see they are not for show !! Here at eyes mart took less than abhor to see as a walk-in the doctor get his prescription paid less than 40 for his glasses and they where ready in less than the hour !! We thought it would take a day or week ! But wow awesome service accept almost all insurance and just paid the scratch resistant part ! He got some nice glasses I believe the cost original whet 79 but ended up total only 39.99 in an hour ! So great deal !!! I went in today to look for a new pair of glasses. When I walked in, there was one customer being helped and was finished within the first few minutes after I walked in. Since I was the only one in the store, I was expecting at least one worker to ask if I needed assistance. I looked at the women's side of glasses for about 10 minutes trying glasses on. Not once was my presences acknowledged. I wasn't asked if I needed anything, if I had an appointment, if I needed help finding a pair of glasses. Bad customer service = walk out and a negative review. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

I made a Yelp account specifically to review this place. I have worn glasses/contacts for 25 years. I have NEVER had worse service than from this place. LONG waits (an hour today!), Dr. Johnson is RUDE and is extremely unhelpful, staff that seem to care more about office gossip than actually helping customers, and hidden fees and costs in a basic eye exam. My first appointment was back in March to get a new prescription. After three more appointments, today (mid June) I finally got a finalized prescription. Dr. Johnson said this was because my eyes had astigmatisms and were difficult to prescribe for. I call BULLCRAP and say that Dr. Johnson must have received his optometry degree from Idiot University Online. I will never go back to this place ever again. It was time for a new prescription and a new pair of glasses so I headed in to see the doctor (without an appointment). It took about an hour to complete the paperwork and examination process. With my new prescription in hand, I proceeded to the showroom floor where the personnel were very friendly and professional, especially Megan, the very nice young lady who assisted me. Dr. Johnson and the staff at Eyemart Express were lifesavers!  My family and I were in the process of moving across country and we stopped in Las Cruces and stayed the night.  I have a driver's license that requires corrected vision.  Please imagine my utter dismay when I dropped my glasses out the driver's window as I was backing the moving van from the hotel and I ran them over and crushed them flat!  I immediately thought there was "no way" to quickly obtain a replacement and consequently continue our cross country move.  I drove to Eyemart and explained what had happened.  The staff was wonderful!  They said, "Oh I'm so sorry, and that "this is no problem."  They empathized with the horrible situation, and then they efficiently "fit me into" the schedule as a "walk-in."  I was quickly screened by the team, and discovered there are no emerging hazardous eye conditions.  Next my eyes were visually inspected by Doctor Johnson and he confirmed the initial screening and then he dialed into the perfect prescription required by my eyes.  I found out my previous script was too strong, and I needed to dial back the correction.  I was able to buy a pair of frames, and I was sent out the door in approximately 2 hours from start to finish!  This could have really stopped my family's move cold, and we could have had to delay the trip for several days and for several hundreds of dollars.  The excellent, friendly, concise, no nonsense operation makes me wish I could relocate future appointments to Las Cruces.  I'm a 100% sure, that if I was local to Las Cruces, I would be here religiously every year ensuring the optical health of my family.  Thank you Dr. Johnson for your kind and professional service; you and your team are exceptional in an era of compromised customer service. read more
