Many teens spend extended periods sitting on the equipment texting instead of working out, making it difficult for paying members to use the machines. There is also frequent loud talking, yelling, cursing, and disruptive behavior that creates an unpleasant environment. I believe the program would be much more successful if teens were required to attend during designated hours or be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. This would help ensure the gym remains welcoming and accessible for all members while still providing teens with the opportunity to stay active. I hope Planet Fitness will consider implementing additional supervision or guidelines for the Teen Summer Pass program. Thank you

The gym was pretty big. had a lot of machines and equipment. The gym is also clean which is nice. The locker room was kinda old and I didn't really like it. That's also have a pool and a sauna.

The following day was when the harassment started. I received four calls in the span of five days, one of which was from the actual gym location I go to. All calls were from different people claiming I never called, my account had no notes and that I had a balance. Additionally I had a poor experience with one of the managers named Gabbie. Was told I was going in loops when describing my frustration, spoke over me throughout most of the call which made it difficult to get to an understanding, could not remember my name and was told that I was one of 2,000 people so that she was incapable of remembering my name. Aside from that, I was misgendered when addressed on the phone but at that point I was already checked out and decided to cancel my membership. There is more I could say but again at that point my decision was made Unfortunately once I arrived at the gym to cancel the membership I was told by a different manager that I could not do that being that there was an outstanding balance, despite what Gabbie said. Thankfully I am local but it was an unnecessary commute none the less

However, after bariatric surgery, those classes no longer supported my health and fitness goals. The inflammation in my body was too much and was counteracting my hard work. As a woman entering peri-menopause, I knew I needed to learn strength training, proper form, mind-muscle connection, and how to use machines I wasn't familiar with. After joining LA Fitness, you receive a free consultation/assessment. Mary was fantastic during this process--she took the time to understand my capabilities, goals, and needs. After the assessment, she paired me with Jimmy B! Initially, I was overwhelmed by the idea of creating the "perfect workout." I didn't know how to choose which muscle groups to work or when. Jimmy simplified everything and made it easy to learn. I also appreciated how relatable he was--just because he's a trainer doesn't mean he hasn't had his own journey. It's encouraging to know we all start somewhere, regardless of skill level. Each workout was recorded in a book, creating my own personalized program that I could reference anytime. Jimmy explained every movement, what muscles I was working, and why proper form matters. No question was ever "stupid." He was patient and made sure I truly understood. He pushed me past my limits, kept me out of my comfort zone (in the best way), and helped me grow--both mentally and physically. By the end of my sessions, I was a new woman! I gained confidence, self-love, and the discipline to work out on my own without relying on group classes. While I no longer train with Jimmy due to budget, if you can make it work, I HIGHLY recommend investing in yourself and your health. With his incredible coaching, I've watched my body transform dramatically--from obese to overweight, to average, and now to fit, toned, strong, and healthy! For the first time in my life, I can actually feel core strength and abs (even if I can't fully see them yet). Body dysmorphia is real, especially after major transformations, but Jimmy's program helped me mentally too--I can now see the results of my hard work in my body's cuts and striations. Health is wealth. It's the best gift you can give yourself. If you're new to fitness, training at LA Fitness with Jimmy is the PERFECT place to start. As far as another review goes where somebody rifled through somebody's belongings in the locker room. Maybe they should've put a lock on the locker. Hello.... I wouldn't leave my purse or belongings sitting out in the open or even in a locker unlocked. So that is kind of silly to begin with and yes it could've been an employee but it could've happened with another customer or member as well. I would not leave my belongings in a locker without a lock if there was a security guard & a camera watching the lockers. Unfortunately we live in a world where locks are needed.. duh ... The staff seems very nice. They don't don't actually do a lot .Last time I was there there was at least five or more of the staff standing around the desk and not walking around or monitoring anything. The place was kind of empty but then there should be so many on staff at that time. The facility is pretty clean. Yes like it any place there are some jerks that don't clean off the equipment so you could either report them at the desk, say something to them yourself or like me just clean the equipment yourself before and after you used it. It is a pain but at least i dont get or leave my germs or sweat for someone else.. For what you pay for you get a decent gym. With decent equipment and I guess you just have to pick what time to go that it's not busy. There are not a lot of germs in this area, and we are lucky enough to have one that is open 24 hours except on the weekends which they're still open in enough time that you can get your ass there if you really wanted to. No place is perfect but this is a pretty decent gym. If people were a little bit more conscious, courteous, and used a little bit of common sense. It would be even better.

This is a good environment for all ages and fitness levels. Working out with all the staff at Therapepeutic Fitness including Roger, Rachel, Caron, etc. It has been one of the best encounters in any type of business that I have maybe ever had. If your looking for a place to workout, loose weight, and get educated and learn more about your mind and body go to Therapepeutic Fitness in Point Pleasant. Oh yes and I also lost many pounds and my Fibromyalgia pain is almost gone when I workout on a regular basis.
