I was skeptical because I do a lot of research when choosing a GP, but decided to give this new doctor a try before I once again started a search for a new GP that I could tolerate. I am thrilled that I didn't switch. My new doctor, Tahira Gilani-Mehrnawaz, is absolutely the best GP I have had. I always felt all my other GPs here in Norway just wanted me in and out of their office as quick as possible and really didn't care what I had to say. I would often walk out of their offices frustrated, knowing I didn't get the care I needed. Tahira, on the other hand, seems to really care. I have been to her twice and both times she listened to what I had to say and didn't just give me her opinion as to what was going on. I literally walked out of her office with tears of joy the first time I saw her. I felt for the first time in the 10 years I have been living in Norway that I found a GP that actually cares about her patients and isn't just trying to get through as many patients as possible. I would recommend her to anyone and wish that anyone who is as fed up with the system here as I was would try her out. If this review was just for Tahira, then I would have given it 5 stars, however, it is for Lilletorget Legekontor and I am still not impressed by the women that work in the front. They are often very rude and cold. I would feel more warmth from a metal robot than from some of the women that work there.

The location looks pretty modern (for Norwegian standards) and the receptionist was extremely nice. I went here for manual therapy since I have screwed up my shoulder due to several years of being hunched over a desk and chose to not use my doctor's referral as the wait time was 2-3 months as it is at just about every public physical therapist in Oslo. I met with Lene Rennemo and the was extremely thorough in the questions she asked me and seemed very knowledgeable. As I have only been here once, I obviously need to form a better opinion before I can say I absolutely recommend the place, but my first impression is great and I am actually looking forward to going back for my next appointment.

The lady on the other end of the phone spoke English and was very pleasant. The staff at Tianlai are all very friendly and accommodating. I booked 1,5 hour appointment, splitting the appointment in half between classic Chinese Tui-na massage and relaxing oil massage. My massage therapist conducted both types of massage within satisfactonary leveles. After my massage I was taken to a relaxation room where I enjoyed a cup of tea and some fruit. I left feeling totally relaxed an happy and even enjoyed a 10% discount from checking in on Yelp. Tianlai is professional and clean.
