This review is long over due but here it is. My family didn't paint this house for 15 years. The paint peeled and wood rot all over. It is a big headache just thinking about remodeling. It is not just about money but finding the right contractor who would do quality work and not take our money and run. Cost is also a big concern since our house is huge and very high. I am in charge of finding the super hero to fix this gigantic mess. First, I called about 8 companies via Yelp to come and give me estimates. Some companies said my house is too big and tall so refused to do it. Some companies said it will take 3 months. Some companies wanted to charge me $100,000. Some companies unwilling to fix the rot wood. Some companies needed to rent scaffolds and hydraulic lift since the house is too high. Hydraulic lift is supposed to cost over $2,000. Yikes! I had about 2 weeks to get project done because fire insurance company threatened to cancel our policy if we don't fix up the house. I interviewed about 8 companies and found one perfect company: FD Painting. Why is FD Painting so excellent and won my heart? 1. They have contractor license and I insurance. 2. They were willing to fix all the rot wood. 3. Tino is also friendly and accommodating to different things I pointed out need fixing. 4. Their price is reasonable. The crew showed up to work everyday on time. 5. Their craftsmanship is also excellent. 6. They finished the entire project in 10 days (4 days ahead of schedule)!!! Hooray!!! 7. They didn't need scaffolds or hydraulic lift. 8. I didn't need to watch them while they worked. 9. They cleaned up well after the project. 10. They were honest and trustworthy. Priceless. Thanks to Tino and his crew, my house is beautiful and pristine again. I highly recommend FD Painting. They did an excellent job! They are super reliable and trustworthy. This job was for a bathroom; it sounds simple, but it wasn't. The four walls were mixed with various types of textures because they had never been able to match the same style before. And not only that, there was one wall that was completely uneven. Every time I entered that bathroom, it bothered me to see that wall and the texture. But what Things got worse when my wife and I wanted to change the paint color, and more details came to light. So I decided to hire a professional painter. I contacted Tino through yelp messages, I gave him all the measurements of my bathroom, and described the problem. He was very clear and direct, with a fixed price. We then scheduled a day to verify the bathroom measurements, and after that, we finalized the deal. His team was so professional. My wife and I consider ourselves very demanding people, and we didn't need to ask them to be careful at all. They simply arrived and covered everything from the entrance of the house to the bathroom, which gave me a lot of peace of mind from the start. The project was estimated to take two to three days, but it had to be extended by one more day, and honestly, I didn't mind. They do their work with love and pride, and they make sure to finish every detail. At the end of the day, when I see their work, I think it was 100% worth it. I highly recommend this company. Tino F&D Review I recently had Tino and his brothers at F&D paint the interior walls of my 3-story 1700 sq ft condo. I was late deciding to paint my walls prior to moving in, so I needed a contractor who was both affordable, but also willing to work around my tight schedule, including working around my upstairs carpet being replaced in the middle of the week. In the end, I got four quotes on a Thursday and I needed the job to be finished by the following Thursday which was only 4-5 business days after the walk-thru! During the walk-thru and quoting process there was a few things that made Tino (and F&D) stand out: 1. Tino provided very knowledgeable information and suggestions during the walk thru. He explained the functional differences between paint finishes (flat, eggshell, glossy), as well as other general information and detailed questions about what i wanted to do. He was the only contractor to provide these details. 2. He provided a very reasonable quote on the spot! It wasn't the absolute cheapest of the four quotes, however, the quote beat two of the other three quotes by a couple thousand dollars. 3. Perhaps most importantly, he quoted 4 days to complete the job and was able to start the following Monday. Every other contractor quoted 5-7 days! As for the actual work, I couldn't be happier. Tino was always on time (or early). He communicated well and responded promptly. Him and his brothers were respectful of our HOA rules. They were even able to anticipate and work around carpet being installed in our upstairs on Wednesday (3rd day of the job). In the end, most of the work was completed in three days (!), with only some minor touch up on Thursday upstairs due to the carpet being replaced after they painted that section of the home earlier in the week. They also cleaned up well after themselves every day, and followed through on small requests such as leaving a gate key inside the condo after every day. Tino is a true professional who knows how to provide great customer service, high-level workmanship, and on-time results. I could not recommend F&D more. I intend to keep recommending them to friends and family, and continue to use them for future homes in the years to come. read more
