They have an indoor and outdoor garden section with a varied selection of plants in each. They are slighlty more expensive then other local garden centres but everything is of the highest quality. At Christmas they have a beautiful display of ornaments and decorations, far better than you would get in most shops. they also do a lovely display which is nice for the children to look at. There is a lovely cafe within the garden centre which has beautiful food and has a lovely atmosphere and looks out over the outside garden area.

one of the best florists near me! the flowers are always in tip top condition! though the store can…read morelook messy, with boxes of un-packed flowers etc dont let that put you off. the service is exceptional, and really friendly, chatty staff! and if your stuck on what arrangement to have, their more then happy to talk you through, types of arrangements, flowers, ribbons etc. its a busy little shop. so if theres ever a need for you to say it with flowers, this is the place to go, you don't have to spend a fortune. they can make a small spray (about 2 flowers) from £2.00 + and then they can make bigger sprays, bunches and displays its the finishing touches they add that really make the flowers, that little bit more special, to give. then the ones in the plastic wrap from supermarkets, that have no scent, or when unwrapped heads droop or have been knocked and damaged. that basically say's erm here you go? so remember if your going to say it with flowers, say it right! as the 1st thing anyone does when they recieve flowers is smell them!

Boyes in Scarborough is wonderfully diverse! you can literally get anything here…read more The ground floor has a small food section, where you can pick up basics such as milk, tea etc and bizarrely, situated next to the 'grocery' section, is the furniture department. This furniture department isn't like any you'll find on these out of town shopping centres, at boyes that pack it and stack it high and theres often lots of remnants of packing materials over the floor. A lot of the furniture seems fairly dated, but who knows, maybe there's a market for old fashioned future as a lot of people chose to retire to this old seaside town. The next floor up, again, is a mish mash of what I can only describe as 'stuff' from toys to nail varnish remover - it's all here and generally, cheap cheap cheap! Upstairs there is the clothes department, in all honesty just keep walking as the clothes although are cheap, look cheap and are fairly badly made. The one Super duper (did I just say super duper? oh goodness I did, oh well, I'm going with it) the one super duper thing about Boyes is come December the Grotto arrives and the pull out all the stops!! It's located on the ground floor and to get to Santa you go through a beautiful winter wonderland that enchants the kiddies before they even meet the man himself! After browsing through the store and a collection of brochures I finally settled on some lovely wardrobes. These were quickly and easily ordered at great price. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful the wardrobes came exactly on the day and time promised straight to my new home, ready for my move. A stressful time made easier by a great local company.

I've always loved the Bridlington Chiltern Mills they seem to have a much wider range of products…read morethan some of their other stores. They do the usual bedding range, which is well laid out with several on display so you can look and feel the product which I find very useful when buying bedding as I like a nice cool cotton! They also do a lot of curtaining and fancy tie backs. On top of these standard ranges they have a small amount of unique furniture and a lot of different gift ranges. It looks like they get a bulk lot of something from bigger stores that they sell on for very cheap prices. It is worth popping in to see what they have on offer.

They disappeared over the years but it seems as if more food shops are appearing again. I parked near the one in Whitby and got my divi card (that has certainly changed) so I was pleased to find one on Newlands which you can park near and there is one near the Valley road. The newlands shop is a good size and is well stocked and has some good offers and stuff you cant get elsewhere. The big attraction for a lot of people is the good range of Fair Trade stuff coops sell. Before christmas the staff dressed up to raise money for charity.
