This was my experience in the theater for the summer show. You queue in front and someone greets you at the door and tells you to go right for the bathroom and left to queue to enter the theater. After waiting in the queue that snaked through the lobby, they sent people in to the theater to be seated, one party at a time. They left space between parties and one row empty between guests. The show was cute. There were three actor/puppeteers playing all the roles. At the end of the show, they held people and allowed the theater to empty by row. They did mostly a good job with social distancing. The show was in the round, with a stage in the middle.

The screens are mostly large and are rarely packed out so can be quite comfortable (despite the assigned seating). There are a few things wrong with the cinema though. Firstly, the Pathé unlimited card is hamstrung to prevent misuse, however this does cause the problem of preventing people from having a cinema day. Having used the UK equivalent for years this seems like a case of damaging all the legitimate users for the sake of a few bad ones. Also, almost every visit, the popcorn has gone stale. I don't know if this is because it's used over too long a period or if it's just how Pathé do it, but it becomes quite unappetising by the end. On the whole great for a casual trip, but maybe take your own snacks.

The free plays don't have a restriction on machine, so I would use your free plays on the more expensive machines (for example, the coin pusher and Kung Fu Panda Dojo are both €1.29). Oh, for 300 tickets you can get a soda. If nothing else, at least you won't be thirsty. Knocking a star down because I saw a lot of machines advertised on their website, but the Eindhoven location was apparently the only one that didn't have the majority of the newer machines added to the other locations.

It seems to be more interactive than during the earlier visit. What made this visit really nice, however, was the Vintage Philips Weekend, where collectors had there Philips collections. I can almost never pass up a Pate and so got this menu item with lovely dark brown bread, chutney and a bit of greens for €6. It was delicious! I also tried a bit of the Warm Goat cheese & Walnut salad which was really refreshing. I think what struck me most was how cost average price was easily more cheaper than Amsterdam, with menu items being priced more in the ~€10 range in the big smoke, rather than the ~€6 they were here, in a country town! Oh by the way, do want to also mention again the clever art touches located in the cafe like the yarn spindle as our table centerpiece, or the oversized chairs with beautiful cloth woven between them, as well as the gorgeous tablecloths!
