Although I have been perfectly satisfied with the Avery Ranch location, the Westlake location is about 30 minutes closer to my home, which is why my last two visits have been at Westlake. I got a groupon for a 78 $ signature facial! I would never pay this amount of money for that service! The receptionist was very unfriendly and it seemed like she was sad or frustrated and not happy at all to help customers. My facial was supposed to be 45 minutes and it wasn't, she tried to cut it as short as possible. During the treatment she would offer me a bunch of stuff, so while I was trying to relax I had to think if I wanna spend more money on this or that! Kinda forcing all that extras on you. I bought Groupons for both myself and my mother. Neither of us has a lot of experience with facials, and neither of us has troublesome skin. (Thanks Mom!) The facility is lovely, you are offered wine while you wait, and there are Dove chocolates out. Practically worth the price right there, right? The facialists each have a private room with a door. The walls are painted dark chocolate (I think) and the lighting is subdued. The facial and massage are lovely. There is always a suggestion of an additional service, for an increased cost, but no hard sell. For me, getting a facial is more of a treat than a treatment, so it was fun to make the experience longer and more fun by eating out at Maudie's or 360 Uno Trattoria, both just a few steps away. read more

The Avery Ranch location is closer, but I will definitely have to take a road trip to Westlake once in awhile to get a treatment. Horrible! One of the worst experiences I've ever had with any business, ever! My original appointment was scheduled for 9:30am. I received a TEXT message, not a call, at 8:30 the day of my service stating someone was sick and they had to reschedule me for later that day. After arranging my schedule to accommodate the new time they offered, I showed up at 12:30, only for them to claim I was 20 minutes late and not only could they no longer accommodate my appointment, but they were going to charge me a no show fee for being "late". They also mentioned they had just ordered lunch to be brought in and cited this as the reason they could no longer "fit me in". I have never encountered such a lack of professionalism and complete disregard for customer service or care for their clients. I truly don't know how this place is still operational when they treat people like this. An all around horrible experience. read more

Face to Face Spa in Westlake is AAA-Mazing!! I've been going here for a little over 6 months and it is exactly what I need to take a break from a busy work week. It's got a calm and relaxing, yet posh and clean vibe. Their management (Emily in particular- always greets me with a smile and asks me about my day-- she knows her clients and it shows) and staff is fantastic and having gotten massages and facials on a regular basis for 10 plus years, I can honestly say THEY KNOW what they are doing at Face-to- Face Spa. Everyone is very professional and extremely knowledgable on all of their products. Two weeks ago I had a facial from Eden and she did a remarkable job. Some days I like to talk during my treatments but other days I just need a relaxing break from the hectic day... I'm sure most of you are the same. This particular day I just needed a break. Eden was incredible! She kept quiet and just let me be to myself for the hour. The relaxing music and the chill vibe was wonderful. Eden only talked occasionally, per my request, to let me know what the next steps were. I had mini peel that day per Eden's guidance and my skin looks fabulous. I have actually been asked recently if I have new make-up because my skin is glowing. Haha... No, just a facial from the magic that is Eden. :) Everything at Face-to-Face can be customized to fit you and your mood for the day. I've been going to Face to Face for facials for well over a year and have always experienced great service and wonderful, relaxing facials. Whenever I get compliments on my skin, I tell everyone this is the place to go. I have only had two occasions where there was a mix-up over the charge for either products or services. Recently I also got the wrong service altogether (still a good facial experience). I tell you this because Management (shout out to Ashley!) is very responsive when you let them know there's a problem. Each time, they immediately did what needed to be done to fix the situation. This last time they also offered a free add-on service to make it up to me, which was unnecessary but greatly appreciated. I became a member a few months ago after having a facial there on a whim, and immediately began my series of six glycolic peels to address my melasma issues. Ryan Elizabeth is professional, friendly, funny and a real delight each time I go in! In fact, everyone there is very friendly and welcoming. I finished my last peel on Monday, and I can say that even though my melasma is not gone (I did not expect it to be), it is greatly diminished and my skin's overall appearance, tone and texture is the best it's been in years (I'm 44). I have a membership at Face to Face Spa at Westlake for a monthly Ultimate Facial. My skin has improved since I started 8 months ago. I used to have some congestion around my cheeks and some minor breakouts and now my skin is free of all that and it feels really smooth, the skin on my nose has never been this clean!!. The facials have helped tremendously, there is no doubt, but also, I have been using the products that their cosmetologist recommended to achieve better results. About the Staff I have been seeing Heather Smith for 4 months now. I enjoy her services very very much, she is very professional, she makes sure that you are comfortable and that you have everything that you need (Including a bathroom break before your session), she listens to understand what areas you want her to focus on and she makes great recommendations for treatment. And her massage!!! Oh gosh, it sends me to a different dimension, I enjoy her hand massage the most, it feels great after a long busy day at the office, the scalp massage and others are also relaxing, but the hand massage is my favorite. She does a great job during extractions, she really spends some time cleaning the problem areas, including my nose. I haven't had had strawberry nose in a long time!. I also like that she tells me when it's time for the potent chemicals (the chemical peel includes some products with a strong smell and can burn a little bit) so I can be prepared and hold my breath for a little bit. She keeps good track of my comfort level and helps me to keep it under control. She is great adapting to the customer needs, sometimes we talk during the facial, sometimes I just lay down and relax and both type of sessions are very enjoyable. I also have seen Carly. She is really nice, has a great personality and offers a great service as well. I had my first sessions with her, and she was the one that made suggestions for the products that I should use to achieve better results. I liked that she even wrote down some instructions to use those products. It was very helpful during the first days, when I was getting used to all of them. And Alexandra, she is awesome! Always welcoming you with a smile and offering a glass of wine. She is quick and efficient on her tasks, from confirming your appointments, checking you in, telling you about promotions, taking care of payments to follow up on any situation. I had my first make up session with her last month (unlimited make up sessions is one of the perks of being a member), I was very satisfied with the result, my skin was flawless and I felt great! About the place The place is very cute and cozy. The lobby area is charming as well as the restroom and the rooms. The relaxing sounds and dim light at the rooms complete the relaxing atmosphere. I bought a Groupon for a signature facial here for a super great price. I was soo excited becuase I have never had a facial before! I arrive, and the girl at the reception desk was really nice- she checked me in for the appointment, and brought me a cup of tea. About 5 minutes later my esthetician comes to greet me, and seems ginuenly nice. We go down a hallway and into a little dark room with a rose on the bed. you put on a little wrap, and get cozy underneath the blankets. After a few minutes, Shelby (the esthetician) comes back in and starts talking to me about my skin. We talk for a little and then she starts on the facial. It is super relaxing and makes me feel great. Towards the end she recommends that we do a treatment to push oxygen into my pores and kill the bacteria. It was the wierdest feeling ever to have what seemed like a bug zapper on my face, but I really do feel like it was beneficial. After she finished the facial, she said if I liked them on facebook she could do a complimentary lip or eye treatment, so I absolutely took that offer up! She said she loved the lip treatment so I went with that, which was great- my lips were super soft! When we walked out she showed me the line of face care products that she thought would really help me out. I agreed to purchase the package for $120... which is more than I was planning on spending that day, but hey, if it works then great. All in all I had a really great experience, and will go back when I can find the time to take an hour out of my day. read more

Beware if you are DERMAPLANING. I thought this would be a good way to exfoliate, but it left my skin full of red bumps and nicks. I figured some redness would be normal, but it's been over a week and they are still there. I feel like my skin will never be the same. I don't know if it was the aesthetician or my skin type, but it was a disaster. I should have had a clue when they asked me to fill out 4 pages of skin history and the aesthetician did NOT even look at it! She was more interested in getting me in and out. I was in desperate need of a facial and came across a LivingSocial deal for a premium facial at Face 2 Face. I checked out the reviews, bought a voucher and booked an appointment. I'm certainly glad I did! Booking was an easy online process and totally hassle-free. And when I arrived, the very friendly receptionist got me a glass of champagne to sip on while I filled out some new client paperwork. The atmosphere was nice, clean and quiet and the facialist, Cari (I hope that is right), came to the waiting room to get me. After changing into the towel wrap thing, I was nicely surprised by the warm bedding, calming music and generally relaxing environment. The facial was paired with a little arm, neck and scalp massage while masks and the like worked their magic and Cari's great bedside demeanor made the experience completely enjoyable. At the end of the service, Cari explained to me why some of my products may be harming my skin-instead of helping- and helped me purchase a product. I don't usually buy fancy skin things, but maybe that's why i breakout to begin with?? Overall, everything was great and I would definitely recommend the spa to friends. I've been here twice for a facial. The first time was amazing, my skin looked great for a week after! She used the "steam cleaner" on my face for quite a while and it helped immensely. I was so pleased I went back... big mistake! The second time I asked about having my skin steam cleaned again, I told her how well my skin responded to it, and the girl said she would. She did it for about 30 seconds and then asked me if I wanted a vitamin C mask saying it would really help clear up my skin. Well of course I want anything that will clear up my skin. So I said yes, and she was like ok that's another $15 and again told me how great my skin would look. I said ok. That was about a month ago. My skin has never looked worse. The mask she used caused my skin to get dry, bumpy, and blotchy. I have asked other people about using a Vitamin C mask and they say its not at all a healthy thing to do to your skin. My skin is stil blotchy and looks horrible and is not smooth or soft at all. This was the opposite of what you want after a facial. I feel like my skin will never feel as good as it did after the first facial. I didn't appreciate that she didn't warn me about the side effects of the mask and just tried to upsell me. I am giving two stars only because the first facial I had was really good. I will not be returning here and hopefully one day my skin will return to being non-splotchy and smooth. read more

Went to Face to Face spa for my first facial ever and had a wonderful experience. I was offered complementary wine from Iesha upon my arrival which gives this place some brownie points in my book! My esthetician was Nicole, she has the softest hands ever she gets 5 stars for that alone. The facial was very relaxing and professional. Nicole was also very easy to talk to.
