While the facility is quite beautiful, it was the worst massage I've gotten over forty plus years, and I've lots all over the world; Thai, Shiatsu, Tui Na, Reflexology, Reiki, Balinese, Swedish, etc. I repeatedly asked her not to massage my shoulders and to use less pressure. She would say OK OK or I understand, and then she'd reduce the pressure for several minutes to go right back to using too much pressure and massaging my shoulders again. She was like a robot who only knew one routine and didn't do a very good job at it.. Energetically, she had absolutely nothing to offer. I paid for a 90 minute massage and would've been so much better off just walking out after the first couple of times of her going back to her very limited, uncomfortable routine. I ended up leaving in pain and discomfort, it was a total waste of money. The receptionist was also rude. .

I found studio altea on yelp after searching for massage near hotel Nhow. I was in desperate need…read moreafter 16 hours of travel from Los Angeles. I was able to make a same day appointment for a 60 minute massage and was greeted by a sweet young brunette when I arrived. She didn't speak much English but the language barrier was no problem. She provided a perfect combination of a soft touch, firm kneading and light stretching in a clean, purple hued and candle lit room. I left feeling free of stress and relaxed. The only reason 5 stars wasn't given was because water wasn't offered. I Will definitely plan to go back when I return to Milan.

I was visiting my fiancee now husband in Milan and was in need of a trim. I walked in Thursday and requested an appointment. They fit me in the next day! Then when I told them what I wanted they booked me with their head stylist visiting from the salon in Rome. I asked for a deep conditioning treatment and they washed my hair the way I like it! That was the longest part of the process the blowout and cut were done in 45 mins. Wow, I was so scared of how it would come out and then to find my hair looked so beautiful. Also, my blowout lasted for days, almost a week. I am definitely getting my hair done here when I come back. They really are professional and work like a team here. I also had a Manicure and Pedicure here and was happy with that, however it is not like when you have your nails done here in the states. I think I was her only client so she really took her time. Almost 2 1/2 hours. But she was really friendly to me and tolerated my terribly spoken Italian and my ok spanish.

I had been thinking about getting my hair cut short and was thrilled when they said I could come back in a few hours and that the artistic director would cut it! I went in and had a nice wash and then Dominic, I believe, asked what I wanted. Mostly I told him what I didn't want. He listened carefully and then commenced the best haircut I have ever had. It looks great! I have had many unsolicited compliments, and it is so very easy to style. My only concern now is finding someone here in the states to cut it as well. It was a great experience.
