Lovely little fish and chip shop that now stays open most of the day. It's the aroma that entices you in, but like a canine owned by Pavlov, soon just the sight of its distinctive (and copywrite-defying) Homer Simpson board will have you salivating.
Inside there isn't much room to queue, and you can't really get a pushchair inside. It feels full once there is more than a couople of people waiting but I've never heard a complaint.
The food here is good. The fish are of a good size, and he'll do children's portions on request. The prices are what you would expect, and cheaper than some. In addiction to the usual fish, chips, fishcakes and sausages, they also offer the heart-busting deep fried Mars Bar. A Scottish import that I'm told tastes much nicer than it sounds. Think I'll stick to fish and chips with scraps on the top, thanks. read more
