Located in the city center, Fahlmans has the feel of a local favorite. It was busy on a Sunday afternoon around 4:30. We all wanted coffee so we got a couple of lattes which were excellent! I ordered a couple of the small savory pies/quiche that came with a salad. These also came in a larger size that is equivalent to a little more than 2 of the mini size pies. The pie flavors change regularly and I got one with goat cheese/spinach and the second was pasta bolognese. Both were tasty and the side salad paired nicely. For sweets, a traditional cinnamon roll & a chocolate mousse cake were ordered and both were enjoyed. A great spot for a savory snack or dessert as well lunch! read more

En fødseldagsfrokost, der endte med at blive en dårlig oplevelse i går den 28.10 cirka kl. 13. Maden-spaghetti bolognese- var ok, men heller ikke mere. Den snavsede papirdug efter de forrige gæster måtte vi selv gå hen til disken med for at få den udskiftet. Desværre blev hele besøget ødelagt pga en person ved siden af, der uhæmmet zappede rundt med mobilen for fuld lydstyrke på forskellige amerikanske kanaler med det resultat, at det var umuligt for os at føre en bare nogenlunde rimelig forståelig konversation. Da vi til sidst mistede tålmodigheden og venligt bad personen om at skrue ned for lyden, hvilket personen så gjorde, var svaret, at " der er jo i forvejen mange mennesker, der snakker på et konditori " !!?? We came for the baked goods and I am soooo glad that we did! We got the mini princess cake, the mini chocolate booze cake and the 'mini chocolate cream cake. All were 10/10! The booze one is berrrrrrry boozy but good. I wish I could eat there everyday read more

I was visiting from the USA and as my mother is Swedish I have been to Fahlman's many times over the years. It is still amazing!! The breads, cakes, sandwiches are all great and represent a variety of the best Swedish selections. Their princess cake is my favorite cake ever. TIP: They use Swedish krona in Sweden, not euros. I was in Helsingborg on a 38 night cruise from LA on the Norwegian Star. The sky was grey and the temperature and felt cooler than the 20degC forecast. The Star was anchored in the Oresund, a narrow passage of water that separates Sweden from Denmark, so we went ashore by tender. I had been given a map and tourist information by the friendly welcoming locals at the quayside who were all dressed in national costume, so I set off in the direction of Karnan, the medieval fortress and the landmark of Helsingborg. Terrace stairs lead to the tower and it's very easy to find. One thing I didn't realize was that they don't use euros in Sweden and being Sunday the money exchanges were closed. I managed to find one at the railway station on the second floor at the left of the escalator. The exchange rate wasn't good but hey, I needed a coffee and lunch. I sat outside Falmans Konditori on the corner at Stortorget (just down from the stairs to Karnan), that gave a great view along this wide street. This is a really great place to eat with a wide choice range. I had no idea what the sandwiches and cakes in the cabinets were, and the assistant who spoke perfect English explained them to me. I had one of their traditional sandwiches and a cake and a divine black coffee with free top ups. Unfortuntely it started to rain so I decided to head back to the ship. Helsingborg remains one of my favourite places of the cruise. read more
