Went here for a NEW license (not conversion). Detlef is an extremely racist and petty man that all…read morepeople of color, especially young south asian women should stay away from. After constant racist remarks like 'This is epigenetic, must be inherited in genes from your family" "This is not India" "This is not Karachi" "Indians and Pakistanis are the same for me" when I finally pointed out that he "sounded a bit racist", he got extremely angry. "You need to think about what you said to me woman" "Those who call other people racist are racist themselves" "My wife is Latin American. She also thought Germans are racist but that's not true" After this, he cancelled all my future classes without notice, for which I had waited for months. He refused to return any money because he's the owner and he knows he can do whatever he wants. When I tried to talk to the Spanish speaking receptionist, the tone deaf woman said "he has been to India so he knows how people in that region drive", despite me telling her twice that I am not even from India. Even if I were, it shouldn't be relevant if I am learning in Berlin. When the ADNB wrote Detlef a letter on my behalf, Detlef's response was so egoistic and racist that ADNB & Verbraucherzentrale both said they were SHOCKED at how openly racist this person was. When Detlef found out I had made a police report against him, he made a fake police complaint against me falsely accusing me of things like: "She is an IT expert with IT friends. She HACKED my computer system and cancelled other student's bookings". Imagine the level of pettiness and hatred for South Asian expats. Long story short, I also went to court where they did agree that his remarks were indeed racist. The police prosecutor office also told me that they don't deny Detlef's a racist man but apparently that's not a crime in Germany. And apparently, cancelling contracts is also not a crime. So people like Detlef can easily get away with it. P.S Saw his Fahrschule Oscar's Tesla near Kurfurstenstrasse on 26th March. I would highly recommend young women to stay away.
