I first heard of Fair Indigo years ago on Amazon, where many customers left rave reviews about the quality of their clothes. But from my own shopping experience, their quality has been inconsistent. I've ordered from Fair Indigo around half a dozen times, and at least 30% of the clothes have been defective. Examples: a shirt's underarm seam left totally unsewn(!), clothes sewn crookedly, fabric pilling after only a couple washes (even though it was advertised to be resistant to pilling)... While other times, the clothing has been well made with sturdy, thick fabric. So, their QA needs improvement. It seems (from their reviews, their clothing styles, the models featured in their product listings, & their marketing content in general) that they have a large older-women customer base. So I may be much younger than their typical customer, but I find their sizing runs large, and I wish they'd feature more youthful designs. I continue being interested in this brand as I'm very interested in supporting fair trade companies that use certified organic cotton. (And trust me, they're hard to find.) Hence the still high rating for Fair Indigo, despite my negative shopping experiences in the past. I wish this fair trade company luck as they continue improving. read more
