When we got to the room I went to hang my coat in the wardrobe and saw a ball of dirty sheets in there. I went to front desk and asked for someone to remove them. When we didn't see anyone I asked to staff in the hallway to pick them up. We were given an accessible room although we booked a standard which would have been fine except the tub was very high and with a battered knee very difficult and painful to get in and out of. We also weren't notified that was what we were getting. Housekeeping kept throwing things out. I opened the lotion and soap, but when they came in to clean they threw both out. Costly for the hotel, not necessary to do. Weird needs missed. No place to put towels in bathroom. They were in the bedroom near the windows as far from the bathroom as you could get. Also no place to put soap bar down. There was a tray, but if you put soap in it the paint from the tray got on the soap.

I like this space because it is long, open and has unobstructed views throughout. You can really see what is happening from anywhere in the space. You will overlook the Darwin Martin House from this (mostly windows) space. Its an unobstructed view. Gorgeous day or night. The restrooms are modern and functional. There is a space for coatracks, or you can have a coat check. I'm not sure if there is a choice of caterers, but the food I have had at a few events has been good. The service professional and unobtrusive. Its available 7 days a week for rentals. All items were terrific. The sandwich had real corned beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, sauce and pumpernickel seeded bread. Yum! The fries had a butter, cinnamon syrup that was delicious too. The beer was $5 for happy hour, which is not a bad price for hay burner. We were able to pay $10 to rent a club and we got a bucket of medium balls. There were plenty of spots available on both floors and the area was clean and set up nicely. I hit a few balls, so I feel that it was a successful night! We had so much fun and will definitely be back.

There is a floor standing room area you can watch the music, as well as two elevated seating areas. The seats were pews and very roomy. It was nice to be able to sit and enjoy the show free from the crowds. The sound quality was mostly good but at times I found it was very loud and hard to hear what the musician was saying. Didn't get any drinks or use the bathroom, so I can't comment on this aspect. Overall, I thought this was a great venue.

My estimate is a capacity of 400-500 chairs, in rows of 14 the floor, plus the balcony. I was there to see Judy Collins, who still has a wonderful voice. (She is 87). A friend asked why she was not performing in the Mary Seton room at Kleinhans Music Hall. I think the acoustics are better here, as are the slightly padded chairs. It is certainly more intimate.

For this particular event "The Whiskey Riot" I also overheard people saying there were more venues last year and they'd like to see more come next year. For this event, there were two food trucks outside and inside, they had a variety of free chips and granola bars for people to choose from, as well as water. There was a large seating area off to the side just to hang out and enjoy your snack or meal from the truck. Coat check is available, they accept tips only. I had a really great time here with my sons, I tried 11 different vendors and even though there were long lines, everyone was in a great mood, enjoying themselves. We brought a Whiskey Riot tee shirt and yes, we'll be back next year!

The spreads included a chopped olive tapas, a apricot mostarda and a caramelized onion dish. These could be enjoyed on the toast points or along with the roasted garlic goat cheese. There was also a cash bar. The event was a way for several merchants to display their wares, among them Blue Table Chocolates, Tommyrotter Distillery, Rebel Ride and several artisans. The wait staff was great, replenishing the various platters and serving trays of tasty mini-potato pancakes and boneless chicken wing bites throughout the evening. They also picked up plates, cans and bottles, taking them back to the kitchen for disposal vs. there being many unsightly trash cans throughout the room. This also added to the event, making the room more attractive.

I am amazed that the space was an old Sears. The space was beautifully designed, well thought out and is now a destination instead of turning into another abandoned building. In addition to the event center attached is the BFLO store, a hair salon, Chruscicki Bakery, Simply Pierogi and Sto Lat. The space itself is perfect for a wedding or your next big event. It is a large open and airy room with darker wood floors, light walls and furniture and gorgeous crystal chandelier and snowflake accent lighting. The interior design is very modern and elegant with touches of Buffalo subtly added in. Great lighting, tons of parking and a huge bar. To the back of the room are doors which take you to a hallway that connects to the other businesses in the complex. The hallway is large enough to accommodate mingling of overflow guests from the event center.
