For literally a few pounds per night more than the nearby Premier Inn I decided to stay at the Fairlawns Hotel and Spa and I was in for a real treat. Even the budget rooms have a decent sized bed, TV and all the usual conveniences all done out in stylish modern decor... But that is only the beginning, there is an 18m pool and full Spa and water therapy centre, so after work I had a swim, a sauna and steam, a foot spa and all manner of different showers and all INCLUDED in the room rate. And it just got better. The restaurant had a set price à là carte menu that was exquisite "fine dining" standard food. So I went mental and ordered oysters, a seafood platter and a delightful chocolate desert. For the price this is a luxurious stay and really decent prices. I want to come back. read more
