The course begins with a short par4, then a longer par 4 and then a truly evil pair of par 3 holes set on the side of a hill. These are by far the best holes on the course and it's a shame they come so early in the round as the rest of the course is fairly uninspiring. Most of the holes from here on seem a little bland and lacking in character in comparison. That's not to say they are bad holes, it's just that after the elevation changes of the first few holes it's a bit of a surprise to suddenly be out on a very flat course with few feature holes. I did enjoy my round here but I probably won't be returning for the a repeat round.

St John's park used to have the town leisure centre at the end of it before it moved to another…read morepart of town. For the park, this was actually a good thing as the space was reused to put in three tennis courts, a skate park and a basket ball net plus practise area. Alongside this, there is a children's playground and the local cricket team class this as their home turf. There is a cricket pavilion here and you can also watch a cheeky free game of local cricket on the weekend. The park is well placed for amenities and is fairly pleasant. Sadly, it is not much more than a big rectangle and it would have been nice to have a wooded area to go on a walk. You will find yourself doing laps or running out of space fast if you want to use it for jogging or an afternoon stroll. Still, as a place to bring your kids for a knock about with a ball or other activities (I actually learnt to ride my first bike at this park) you could do worse.

This is a really pleasant area situated right in the centre of Haywards Heath. Pretty much every…read morebox is ticked that you would expect of a park. For children there is a sectioned off adventure playground with a decent rubber based safety surface. Teenagers get a skate park with a few ramps to flex some tricks on boards , bikes and blades. Sporty type can play tennis in the fenced courts. Finally, those that prefer to take things at a slower pace can relax on the maintained lawns or under some of the big trees dotted around the area. A number of benches are also situated on the outside if sitting on the grass isn't your thing. The park has male and female toilets, which is handy for longer stays and some of the paths winding around the park make for a good route if you want to have a jog or a stroll. The park also hosts a number of events over the year including a fun fair twice a year and also an open aired music concert. The location makes this a nice spot to have a break from your shopping, or to enjoy your lunch whilst having your break from work. Also, a good thumbs up to the council for the excellent job they do with maintaining the area.

We were in the studio and it is a good room with mirrored walls and a sprung floor. I've also competed in a number of TKD tournaments in the main sports hall. The center offers the expected range of classes from keep-fit to more team based activities. The amenities are good with clean changing areas. There is also a full gym for exercise heads and a decent looking swimming pool. The staff are fairly helpful and identified by branded tee shirts. There is also a canteen that serves a basic range of foods including jacket potatoes and chips, beans and other fried snacks. Being a place of fitness, I find this a little bizarre, but I suppose they serve what the public want. Go figure! There are also glass backed squash courts and you can hire courts for badminton or basketball. All in all a pretty decent sports center for the town, but you will need a car or a bus ride to get there as it is located on the outskirts of Burgess Hill.

They have a large fun pool which has acouple of chutes and than there isa competitive pool. The prices are a little expensive but its all good and clrean. They also have a gym if you wanna join and thay have table tennis , tennis, football and loads of other stuff.

We played 9 holes after a really nice lunch of ham egg and chips. The whole course is set up so they can 'loop' 9 holes around anywhere on the course depending on the groups ability. As we were all pretty novice, they set it all up really thoughtfully. The bar here is really cool too, unlike any golfing clubhouse bar I've been to. Lots of very jolly people of mixed ages talking about their day on the greens.

Hove Lagoon skate park has one of the coolest locations you could hope for in so far as it's…read moreliterally a stone's throw away from the beach. The layout is good too. Unlike many of the more public skate parks to be found in the UK the space between its features is not to vast as to have used up all your momentum before you reach whatever you were hooning towards. There is the usual jump box in the centre with a large flat bank at the lagoon end and both a quarter pipe and a flat bank flanking each end of the moderately sized half pipe at the east side of the park. The park is more family orientated than other public parks, so expect Groms. On the plus side this means that as a skater you are less likely to have to contend with agro BMXers and the usual pusher types. What's more if you hit it on a week day or later in the evening it should be relatively quiet. The surface is great too the whole park is marble smooth from the ground to the top of the ramps, but this does make it impossible to use if it's at all wet. On the whole due to it's great locating, relaxed vibe and great combination of features this is a sweet park to session regardless of what your chosen board, bike or style is.

We got caught in a rain storm and made our way to the pub by the bus stop. Locally made Gin, delicious leek and potato soup with duck paté and bread, made the rain a blessing. It's wonderful, that in 20 minutes you can travel from the gaudy honky-tonk of the pier to such a peaceful and natural setting.

The curiously named Devil's Dyke is one of the most scenic spots on the South Downs Way. Just five…read moremiles north of Brighton it's easily accessible even when you're not walking the path. It now belongs to the National Trust so car parking fees apply but you can also get the bus up to the Dyke from Brighton in the summer months. The views are fantastic, and on a clear day you can even see as far away as the Isle of White. Its a great location for walking, mountain biking, zorbing of paragliding; or just a picnic if you are feeling a little more sedate. There is a pub if you fancy a pint and an ice cream van most of the year round. Legend has it that the dyke was formed by the Devil to drown the parishioners of the Weald, but scientists tell us that is was formed naturally during the last ice age. However it was formed, the end result is the longest, widest and dryest dry valley in the UK and it's absolutely stunning.

Woking's pool in the park is a fairly typical council leisure facility. There are three pools here…read more- a leisure pool, training pool and competition pool. A full programme of events is scheduled throughout the week with various free-swim blocks built in. The competition and training pools are standard. The leisure pool is a round shelving pool with a wave machine, lazy river/rapids ride and a couple of spas. There's also a children's paddling pool. There are three flumes of varying sizes. The changing areas are poor standard and cold. Cubicles are small and there are insufficient family changing rooms. Lockers are provided. There's a hairdryer bank in the stairwell. Toddler sessions are busy (although numbers are limited) and toys are used in the water.
