I wrote a script, produced and acted in the film. A few last minute snags occurred. My film short wasn't ready for a mainstream distribution. It's not the world's greatest movie, however, it's my thesis film short. I have to be satisfied with it. I didn't know how to accomplish a clean up. So, I Googled and Yelped my way into the life of a video editor that could do it for me. Carol was a gracious host. Also, meticulous and quick at her work. I truly appreciate her assistance. She let me stay and watch the whole process. I was saddened to find out my colorist completed contrasting versus color correcting. And really, I am insecure about my knowledge in the complete film making process. I just want to graduate and start working, because I am an Actress. I heart Acting. Hiring Carol was one of my BEST decisions related to the wedding. She was professional, discreet, knowledgeable of her craft, and went above and beyond. We love watching our wedding video on our anniversary. But.... Let me give you an example of her "above and beyond". About 30 minutes before the ceremony we discovered our florist forgot an ENTIRE bridesmaid bouquet. People were scrambling and panicked. Nervous friends delivered the bad news as I was about to walk down the isle. I just shrugged my shoulders...what could be done? I was bummed but...it wasn't catastrophic. But while we were discussing the error another friend ran in and declared breathlessly, "NEVERMIND! The videographer just made a bouquet." We just stood there. She what? Carol overheard the chaos, put down her equipment, and picked wild roses around the property and MADE an impromptu bouquet. I'm still not exactly sure how she managed to do this so quickly. When looking at photos...we still can't determine what one was hers! She jumped in, assisted, and then quietly got back to her post. THAT is customer service, people. Carol is the best! She did my bro-in-law's (my husband's brother's) wedding 10 years ago and so my husband suggested that we should use her for our wedding 2 months ago. She's very professional and some of my guests didn't really notice that there were cameras set up at certain locations until we were watching the wedding video. Also, the quality of her work is BEYOND, as one of the other reviews mentioned. I tasked her with a somewhat not easy task. For the wedding video, there needs to be music for each chapter of the video. Since we had a Chinese wedding banquet, I only saw fit that we would use a Chinese song. I gave Carol the English translation of the song (instead of the Chinese characters). I also gave her a backup song in case she could find it...but she found it! So that tell you how great she is! When you have such an important event in your life and want it captured on video, Carol should be your go-to person. Carol videotaped my anniversary/marriage proposal to my girlfriend, now fiancée. She was excellent and would highly recommend her services to anyone needing a videographer. She was extremely professional in the events leading up to my celebration. We communicated via email, and she was always prompt and answered all my questions thoroughly. She even gave me some great suggestions on planning the event so that it would look better on camera. During the event, I was thoroughly impressed with her attention to detail from the lighting to the sound, to the different camera angles. When watching the video she made, my fiancée commented that she didn't even notice the cameras Carol strategically stationed or the one that Carol was holding. That is what made the event and video so special. We weren't even aware that cameras were there so that when we were being recorded, the true emotion and feeling of the event was accurately portrayed. I've shown the video to a couple people and all of them teared up. That is how you know it was a great video. The great thing about the cameras is that they yielded great quality in terms of picture. The thing with video is that it's also about the audio. The audio work Carol captured blew me away. She put a small microphone on my coat and with the violinist. When I watched the video, the sound from me speaking and the violin playing was so clear. The sound was such high quality. I know that I was not the only person to be impressed with her professionalism. I also had a photographer and a violin player, and she worked well with both of them to make sure the event went off without a hitch. And if that were not enough, it was also amazing how quickly she was able to get the finished product to me. In addition, I really appreciate how personable she was to me and my fiancee. My mother died 25 years ago and then my dad died in December of 2013. The American Legion where my dad was a member decided to have a luncheon and a flag ceremony for a memorial since he was a veteran. A lot of family & friends were there and we had our traditional taco buffet. What I didn't expect was how I would feel during the flag ceremony. My friend Carol - whom I've known for 15 years - is a videographer (this videographer) and she offered to record the ceremony as a keepsake for us. As I watched the men perform the flag folding, I thought it was really nice. But when this uniformed retiree took the triangular stars & stripes, approached me and knelt down and handed it to me - I just lost it! I didn't know they were going to bring me that flag or how his words of comfort to me would affect me. My Dad and I had a strained relationship for a lot of years and this was a watershed moment for me. And Carol captured it all on video. Carol is wonderful! I operate a preschool ministry that serves about 90 children...each June, the children perform songs and dances as we celebrate the end of the year! We also present each of our graduates with their diplomas! During performance transitions, we have photo slideshows and video interviews playing as well. We have never had the event filmed professionally, but one of our preschool families suggested that I get in touch with Carol regarding the Graduation. After speaking with Carol, I knew we had to book her...and I am SO glad that we did! Carol did a phenomenal job! She was able to capture every moment of the evening!
