They love everybody as long as nobody treats anybody wrong. I haven't been there in years but I plan on going back this Sunday. My family and friends are there, there's different service times on the same day, and the pastor and his wife are sweet. They preach exactly what is happening that week. I love my WOG family and will be returning this Sunday. Surprise! I'm back but this time covered in the full armor of God!

I picked him up and in front of his "teachers" immediately started to point out injuries and told me he told them that the other kids were pushing, kicking, and hitting him and he was told to sit and nothing was said to the children. Again in front of the teachers he states that he asked them to call me to come pick him up. They told him no he needed to stay. First of all, if a kid wants to call their parents it is no ones place to tell them no. To think I thought my son was safe when I dropped him off at CHURCH. Apparently, I was wrong. My child was not taken care of and was not allowed to call me to take care of him when he needed me. I do not recommend this place to any other parent as my experience and my child's experience were not pleasant ones. I uploaded just a FEW of the pictures I have of the injuries he came home with. If hadn't told me, they wouldn't have either but you can bet I still would have noticed.

The sermon was good, and I actually got to see someone I worked with about ten years ago. All in all, however, it was just too big to be intimate and comfortable. I couldn't shake the feeling that I was at a music concert. The seats were comfy enough, but I prefer the old-fashioned pews and pulpit... with the hymnals and bibles right in front of me. The bigger a church is, the less it seems personable. Like a huge family reunion where you know a few folks, but mostly just get uncomfortable around the ones you don't know. Some folks just go about their Sunday routine, and others just fight off sleep. The few folks that were all smiles and friendly were the ones that made it worthwhile. I went looking for new fellowship, but felt somehow mostly out of place. I would definitely return... maybe even on a semi-regular basis. I am a small town guy, just looking for a tiny down-home church, I guess.

I have witnessed healing, as well as strong beliefs that have come from all over the world. There are houses that scatter the property that are paid for and built by the United Pentecostal Church and private churches together. There are mens's and women's conferences, and they usually last around 3 days or so. There are things that go on in there that I have never seen before. It is a literally a miracle on the face of the earth smack dab in the middle of Louisiana...
