I…read morecalled on the phone and the woman informed me it could take 1-2 weeks to fix, depending on whether they needed to order parts, etc. I thought that was super reasonable, particularly given that another sewing repair shop had quoted me 5 weeks, which I thought was insane. I brought the machine in, was directed to the repair shop in the back of the store, and was immediately met by the repair man to explain what I needed fixed. My mom's bobbin had broken and I had ordered her a replacement but we struggled to put it back in and it made me wonder if it was the right bobbin. The repair man at this shop immediately looked at the machine, confirmed I had bought the right part, and went ahead and placed the bobbin ad tightened it while I was there. I was in and out in 10 minutes and he didn't even charge me a repair fee (which another store wanted to charge me almost $100 for.) Incredible, quick service and well worth the slightly long drive for me to go to this location. I appreciated so much that he explained to me how to properly insert the bobbin and why her sewing machine model is prone to some bobbin issues. If anything happens to my mom's machine again or she needs a regular tune-up, I won't hesitate to bring her machine here again. Wonderful experience that I can't say enough good things about. They really care about doing right by their customers!

Once upon a time, I took a painting class at a place that shall remain unnamed. I left with a…read moredecent-looking painting but didn't feel confident that my painting skills had improved. In fact, I felt like I would probably never paint again. Fast forward a couple of years to my mom asking me if I would be interested in taking a class at The Art Mill. I was hesitant for a couple of reasons, including the distance from Lebanon to my home in West Nashville and traveling back home in the evening (I'm an old-lady-home-body-type of person now) and most of all the above mentioned previous experience with painting. But my mom can be rather convincing, and I signed up for a class. My experience at The Art Mill was fantastic! I didn't realize it at the time, but my artist instructor is the owner of the business. Scott quickly put my fears at ease with his step-by-step method. He took the time to show us a step, then walk around to give suggestions, encouragement and assistance on each person's paintings without me feeling like he was just doing it all for me. Scott also took my color choices into consideration so that I could match my guest room, even though they were slightly different than the ones specified for the painting. My painting came out beautiful, unique and all my own. I felt so confident about my painting that I had it framed by Scott before leaving and hung the painting in my guest room as soon as I got home that evening, despite it being a late hour for this old lady. These are small details, but they help establish trust and create a more personal customer experience.
