This trail is located in Tunxis State forest in West Hartland. The trail is approximately 1.4 to 1.7 miles out and back. We stayed on the upper falls trail area; there's a fork at the trail and we took a right towards the bridge. If you go left, you'll end up at the lower falls which we didn't do this time. Parking is off the road, it could fit about 4-5 vehicles. The baby blue trails were well marked; some growth is happening since it's May and springtime. The trails had some light ascends and descends. My young kids were able to hike it; my toddler was a bit tired going back to the car, so I carried him here and there. The brook was peaceful, the scenery was serene. There were some small Cascades as well as waterfalls. I did not go further since it was rocky but I'm sure it connected with the lower falls section. It was a bit buggy but nothing too bad since it was around noon. Overall, a nice hike and pretty waterfalls. Next time, I will attempt the lower falls. read more
