As you walk in the door, you are greeted by friendly people, who welcome you, offer coffee, water and snacks/cakes. A really nice comfortable lounge / foyer area to relax and have coffee, to wait on others and mingle while waiting on service to start. The area also serves as an area to post announcements, collections for various ministries. It has an awesome kids area, modern, clean, lots of colorful graphics, games, air hockey and other stuff for kids. Then the general seating area for services. This is a nice clean, comfortable area, that has large round tables to sit, or a front area with regular seating. I loved the table idea, cozy, can write notes, and have a coffee in front of you. Service begin at 10:am. Sometimes there is a musician who played upbeat, progressive and various types of music, sometimes the screens would show various worship songs. About 15 minutes of music while people arrive and get seated then the service begins with the pastors message. Pastor Mike Pharr truly is an awesome speaker. He is down to earth, reads bible verses, but also applies honest, personal stories to relate to the message, he also just throws in a few funny things or something about himself that makes you laugh. He just has a relaxed but powerful way to present the message and the message is always relevant. Prayer is done throughout the message at beginning, sometimes during the service and ending. Music worship sends you off. I have to say that I was invited and cannot thank that person enough for that. i would not have known about this awesome place and am so thankful to be a part of them now. I am a new person, attending a few months now. But from the moment I walked in the door to the time I was made to feel welcome. I was given an adorable bag with a welcome gift. I was greeted as I walked in, people introduced themselves and welcomed me. At the end of the first service people came and introduced themselves welcomed me. Pastor Mike and his beautiful, wife, Karen talked with me after service. I have to say that this is a place that is welcoming, are true Jesus followers, believe and follow the bible, they are reaching out to the community to serve in various ways, homeless outreach, homeless huts, connecting with schools to sponsor them, they have a giving box area that they provide food, baby items and other items families might need and can visit this for those items. They have small groups that meet twice a month at 5pm on Sundays as well as a womens group that meets every third Thursday at 6pm. They have trips, picnics and other things for the rock community to attend. they have a website and a facebook page if you want to check them out. Mooresville campus is a huge church, but you can also join a small group to meet friends or couples. The theme is that everyone is welcome, so the atmosphere is laid back with casual dress. It's not a stuffy church, everyone is very friendly. The music is loud but also wonderful. This isn't your old school hymnal book music, so be prepared for that. The messages are always down to earth and relatable. The Cove is a wonderful church simply trying to spread God's word and to invite everyone in.

Pastor Jim White's sermon on Baptism explained and convinced my brother the importance of being baptized by water. After that I began to attend Mechs Lake Norman campus location regularly. Pastor Jim White teaches on a "college level", which makes learning about the Bible God and Jesus' plan for my life that much more dramatic. The service is held inside the YMCA, and convenient for the Mooresville area. They have an onsite praise service band that leads us in a praise service that I wish would never end.

Lake City has over 38 life groups, excellent kids programs, Prison Ministry, Celebrate Recovery, Marriage Groups, Fellowship groups, Prayer groups, Bible Studies, Art groups, Holy Rollers motorcycle group, Spiritual Warfare groups, Fitness groups, Hispanic connection, Singles group and so much more. It feels like a big family. The Pastor speaks Biblical truth and not his own opinions. That is a very important part of following the Bible. I see someone gave a one-star review because the sermon had politics in it.....Everything that you do in life matters. That includes the way you vote. Jesus is pro-life. If you are going to a church that does not feel that way, that is not of God. Don't let anyone's opinion of a church sway you. How do you know what their walk with God is like? Come and see for yourself. When you follow Jesus, you follow Him as a way of life, not just on Sundays. Tuesday nights are for kids from 6th-12th grade. They have an amazing time learning about Jesus. The Wednesday night prayer events are out of this world. If you need a home church that is 100% about Jesus and a big family, come join us. If you want to go to a church where you hear what you want to hear, that is not always Biblical and this will not be the place for you. Sometimes the Lord will make sure you feel convicted. That can be a good thing. All are welcome at Lake City. It is one beautiful melting pot of amazing people. There is something for everyone. This is a place I am proud to call my church home.

I love my church and youth group so much. It's a place where I feel really comfortable and accepted…read morefor who I am. Everyone is super nice, and I've made some awesome friends there. The youth group is one of the best parts because we have fun, play games, and also talk about God in a way that actually makes sense and helps me. It's not boring or awkward, it's actually something I look forward to every week. Being there makes me feel closer to God and reminds me that I'm not alone in what I'm going through.

Caregivers chose gifts for the children. And tonight a community choir led by the church music staff presented The Messiah. This is just this month.
