Going from Bad to worse.
Trying to get an appointment for days on the phone on hold then when answered they have no appointments available apparently! Went in personally yesterday and asked for an appointment for my 13 year old son with the doctor, receptionist took ages looking at her computer asked what it was regarding, I had to explain in front of all the people waiting, (no privacy whatsoever) and told me I would get a call appointment. I got a call at 5pm from a pharmacist who I explained everything to and her answer was she cannot do anything and to get a face to face appointment.
I have gone this morning to the surgery at 7am and so was 3rd in line when they opened at 8am waste of time again.
Asked for an appointment explained what the pharmacist had said yet same thing asking private questions in front of all the people in the queue, the receptionist fidgeting with the keyboard and then again said "They will call you today" when I asked who was "They" as I obviously didn't want another pharmacist calling me again, the receptionist replied
" the people who give the appointments" I then questioned the reason i was actually there in person was to get an actual face to face appointment as advised by their pharmacist, the other male receptionist stopped serving another patient he was serving to butt in to my questioning to the receptionist I ignored him completely as he wasn't serving me...in the end the lady receptionist who was serving me just said "sorry that's the procedure" . I left absolutely fuming, the lack of empathy from these obviously unprofessional receptionists is beyond me. NHS are playing with patients lifes by not hiring the correct staff! My son is in a very bad state and needs to be seen urgently!! Yet FALMOUTH ROAD GROUP PRACTICE HAVE DENIED AN APPOINTMENT FOR MY 13 YEAR OLD TO BE SEEN!!!
Absolutely appalling. I really don't know what to do, I feel lost and do not know where to take my son who needs medical attention!
