I love supermarkets - and in countries like France, Italy and Spain the supermarkets are just far…read moresuperior to supermarkets in Nordic countries e.g. Denmark. Even in a quite small city like Ostuni they have have a large supermarket full of delicacies; fresh fruit and veggies, fresh fish, a large variety of meats, cheeses, dairy, nonfood, cereals. Well, basically everything. Prices are just amazing too, especially on specialities. Only flaw; I missed an in-store butcher. Having said that, this store is a pleasant surprise.

Service was friendly. Price was not to be beaten - lunch for two 18 euro. The food was really fresh tasting. Gelato was made in house and very good - some different flavours such as almond cream with dried figs. If we are in the neighbourhood, we will go back.
