One of the things that was very important to Miss Helen was that the restrooms in Walmart stores were always clean and welcoming. In most stores I have visited, the restrooms are less than ideal and in some cases, downright disgusting. The morning of my visit (10/17 at 07:00 am), the restroom at this Supercenter in Bowie was clean. You could say it was in excellent condition. A "Well done" is deserved to the associate who cleaned this restroom. The rest of the store? Went here with my parents to get my dad's horse some feed…read more The cashier was really sweet and she told us they had other animals in the back room. She mentioned a mini pig so I had to see it. Once we got back there she pointed out that there was a snake in one of the tanks. I asked if I could hold the snake but then I was not expecting the snake to be the size it was. I thought it was like a baby still. Lol so I was scared at first when she pulled it out and was like ehhhhh I don't think I wanna hold it. She goes to put it back in the cage and then I change my mind and wanted to hold it again, so shoutout to that lady for being patient with my crazy self. Anyways, I held this ball python and it actually wasn't bad at all. I've been playfully saying I wanted a pet snake for years but after holding this one I kind of actually really want one! This store was very clean and everyone who worked there was very nice! We received great service here and I'm sure my dad will make this his regular place for horse feed now. The guys who work there also load your car for you when you buy anything that they store in the warehouse so that was nice that we didn't have to carry the heavy bags of feed or anything.

So first employee gets off his vehicle and greets me with "your going to be a while, we still have to open" so I said ok and let him know I just need a quick propane refill. I didn't mind waiting but what really pissed me off is that a guy comes out at 11:03 dragging his feet acting upset. So I just left him alone let him do his job and refill my propane tank. Once he was done he gave me my tank back then wrote the total in a paper so I can go pay, but in this entire process this guy never looks my way or acknowledges that I exist! So once he puts the ticket my way I grab it and tell him "thank you I appreciate it" and he just walks off!!! I will definitely just keep going to tractor supply in town, they have always been super friendly. Even on Sunday mornings lol!!

The store is large and has plenty of room to continue to grow and a large variety of items. For those which have never visited a Dollar Tree everything is $1 from dry goods to decorative items, home goods, cosmetics and toiletries. The gentleman who answered confirmed they had the part in stock and mentioned they closed at 3:00 PM. Since I live about 40 minutes away, I told him it was already 2:20 PM, but I would leave immediately and get there as quickly as possible. At no point did he mention that they might lock the doors before 3:00 PM if there were no customers inside. When I was only about three minutes away, I called again to let them know I was almost there. A lady answered and informed me they were shutting down the computers. I explained that I could literally see the store and had driven 40 minutes specifically to purchase the part. I even offered to pay cash if necessary. She replied that they closed at 3:00 PM. I pointed out that it was not yet 3:00 PM and that I was pulling into the parking lot. I asked if the doors would be locked before 3:00 PM if I arrived before closing time. She asked someone nearby whether the doors were already locked. Sure enough, when I pulled in just before 3:00 PM, the doors were locked. Another customer arrived at nearly the same time and was also unable to get in. I completely understand if I had shown up 10 or 15 minutes after closing. However, arriving before the stated closing time after driving 40 minutes--and after calling twice to communicate my arrival--is unacceptable. If a business advertises that it is open until 3:00 PM, customers should reasonably expect to be served until 3:00 PM, not find the doors locked early. Very disappointing experience and poor customer service.
