We didn't know the area well and the last few lunches we had at this location were average. One girl that used to work in the area, came up and said "oh, we have to go to Paul's market! ". I was skeptical because it sounded like we were having lunch at a grocery store. Turned out, it was a butcher shop and deli with a great menu. We were a fairly big group and they worked their way through our orders efficiently as well as the other customers. They gave the kind of service I like when I eat out. I asked them what the best item on the menu was they asked me a couple questions, gave me a recommendation. (the Italian stallion.) and asked me some follow up questions about condiments, they answered a few more questions and they delivered! When I was looking at sides to have with it, he told me the sandwich was " hefty". He was he was right. A lot of times when I'm out for a quick bite I might swing by a Jimmy John's or a subway just to get a quick sandwich, but this was an example of why it's always best to go local. While we were in the ordering process, the guy who looked like the butcher and was also the owner came over to check and make sure we were getting our needs met. He was very busy, but he even made it outside once we all were served to check on things and thank us for coming by. I had a chance to look around and noticed the full valley of barbecue fried chicken and all their sides. I went over and looked at the meat counter in the steaks and other items looked fantastic. Not what you find at the grocery store. As someone who worked in the food service industry in high school and college, my standards for good service are relatively high. This experience reminded me of my days at a locally owned family run business with great food and great service and a responsive staff. Now that I know where this is when I'm in North County that's where I'll be stopping

I love that it is small and family owned, love supporting any small business! They had very healthy and meaty oxtails, steaks and wings. They had several other things but I kept it pretty light for the first visit! I absolutely love that they offer hot food as well. The service was fast and friendly. I'll be back!

Probably the one bright spot in my trip through St. Louis Airport was making my acquaintance with the Kids Works store in the East Terminal. THE SETUP My goodness! What a veritable playground of fun toys! * All the Sesame Street Characters were well-represented * SpongeBob & Crew were here in their "Underwater Grotto" * Ken & Barbie and their friends were hanging out * But to offset Ken & Barbie's douchebag Preppieness, there were the pretty girl dollies from MONSTER HIGH as well! * Got to see some cool electronic devices with the "How To Train Your Dragon 2" crew's stamp all over them. [Was even tempted to pick-up the "Toothless"-Headphones.] FROZEN However, what I DID pick-up was a great little plush "Olaf The Snowman" ($16.99) from the Disney film "FROZEN". I thought what a hoot it would be to take this little snowman with me to Spring Break! THE LOWDOWN Great store with some very fun cute characters from all TV and Movie Fame.
