I can whole-heartedly recommend Family First, as I retained them for an intervention for a family member. They have a full-service team, and each person was available, knowledgeable, and supportive each step of the intervention process. Our intake specialist, Alaina, was excellent in helping us get our intervention mobilized, planned, and helped us through the early emotional process to reach our intervention date. Our interventionist, Amy, was extremely experienced, dedicated and committed to our family and the full process. She flew in from out of state and worked with us throughout our intervention time period. Lydia, our 3-month family counselor, has been compassionate, professional, and extremely helpful as we've been navigating post-intervention. Jeff, the founder/director, has been available throughout the entire timeline, and has always been willing to hop on a call with us and talk us through each stage. These are real people with real experience, and I'm a real family member who has been affected by my loved one's addiction. I can't tell you how helpful it has been to have specialists bring in their support through an extremely difficult time. It takes the weight off family members and friends to navigate the signs, symptoms and decisions around addiction. It releases the "disease management" that many of us have taken on for decades. I was really drawn toward the family support program after the intervention itself, and now that we're integrated into our 3-month counseling sessions, I understand how valuable this leg of Family First actually is. An intervention process is the commitment is to transform the entire ecosystem--not just address one person with an addiction. Family First has provided us the resources to embark on a healing process together, and I am truly grateful. I can confidently say this team equipped to help families going through any similar circumstances. Lastly, any negative reviews on behalf of someone in the "addiction seat" on Yelp, etc. can be taken with a grain of salt. Our loved one lashed out initially at our interventionist and even at our counselor. In "addict mode," a person is looking to blame and attack anyone who is part of the ecosystem shift, and we experienced that personally. Reading some of the negative reviews from people who didn't hire this group compelled me to write a review from someone who HAS hired and is currently experiencing the full, positive support and offerings from Family First. These clients come in typically not the most willing and accepting of treatment, but through their families wanting to do something different they are able to receive the assistance and guidance through Family First intervention to establish boundaries to ensure their loved one has the best chance possible to get the help they desperately need. What I experienced as a family member of a person in addiction while being a person with years in recovery was truly eye-opening. I knew what to do, you continue to support them as they struggle with their addiction, after all that's what my Mother did for me. When this process continued to fail I reached out for help. The Family First staff was always forthright with me and helped me to see that continuing to coddle my daughter was not helping her to find her own direction to heal. To each his own I suppose. I'm looking at some of the negative reviews and that was not my families experience at all. From the time we spoke with Shahar until family day we were very anxious but she was with us the whole time. We had tried two other Intervention Companies with no success. Amy Cooper was the star of the show. Not only did my brother get to treatment. My parents, my sister, and I are still enrolled in their family program. We were all doing so many things wrong with the best intentions. My brother has one year and one month of sobriety today. He has sobriety and my family has clarity when things still don't make sense Amy, Andrew and Regeana are always happy to explain things in a way that we can apply them and see the positive results. Any business owner knows that Yelp promotes negative reviews. When you pay Yelp money they bury the negative reviews, if you don't, they bury the positive reviews. There are several 5 star reviews in the "not recommended" section. Please keep in mind, every negative review on here is written by an addict or an alcoholic with the exception of two. One is from a family member who tried to sabotage an intervention the family staged and the other pulled her husband out of treatment against medical and family advice and relapsed. There is not one negative review on here written by a family that is truthful or coming from a place of honesty. Do your homework, this company has over 70 5 star reviews written on all the other platforms. The very few negatives on those platforms are also written by the addict or the alcoholic or someone who is angry at their loved one and is taking it out on us. read more

I have worked in the industry now for almost 10 years and am in Recovery myself. I have sent several families to Family First over the years. The biggest take away that families share with me are that they are finally heard and validated with their own suffering. Addiction leaves a family broken, isolated, and many times shamed when dealing with the loved one's addiction. Family First gave my referrals a plan outlined for their healing. Family First became part of our lives in 2020. The interventionist they paired with our family was a perfect fit, and my family member signed onto treatment within 2 hours of the meeting. He stayed in treatment for 4 months and is still sober 3 years later. Those of us that were part of the intervention were also extended weekly counseling sessions for as long as we felt them necessary. In addition, I had my own counseling sessions. It's been 3 years, and I'm confident if I called them right now, they would be available to coach me through a situation. The addiction my loved one had is alcohol. My family needed someone and we had no clue where to start. We called FF and the person on the other end of the phone was amazing. She made us feel that we were in great hands. When our interventionist got there she coached us through about a 6 hour session, educating us on addiction. Then we done the intervention the following day. All though our family member did not accept help that day, they did about 2 weeks later. During that time FF coached us on exactly what to do. Family First Intervention is top notch. They go beyond intervention services for "just' the addict. This organization treats the whole family with after care and Family Recovery Coaching. You get to meet with your counselor weekly and they also offer professionally lead groups 4 days a week to family and friends. I would highly recommend their services. I have come to learn that when the family makes meaningful changes, so will the addict/alcoholic. I have seen this firsthand working with clients that have been referred to treatment where I have worked.
