Why does Yelp only show the good ratings on him? My experience was the most horrid in 1/2 a century of care. He didn't listen, already made his mind up about EVERYTHING before he ever saw me and then introduced untruthful notes into my record. This Doctor does not care about pain as he uses his own pain scale to determine what pain you should be in - in my case NONE even though the record shows that I have multiple mild problems which for me add up to massive pain. If this wasn't the case, how could I be in off-the-charts pain and then have an epidural done by another Dr. and it worked? If my issue was all muscular and did not exist - this couldn't have possibly happened. But, Dr. Mascari knows it all. It is my hope someday he is ousted from the Medical Community for good. I'm sorry, but people with NO bedside manner and NO indication they actually want to help should not be practicing medicine. I want to make it clear that I am no addict here and this was a visit to see about obtaining continuing pain care for my left side - however, the judgement was plain to see from the first words out of his mouth. What doctor, in a rude tone, asks 'Why are you even here"? - should have known at that point it was all going downhill. My advice - call UPMC Patient Complaints if you have this experience - do NOT let it go! She is elderly and cant walk well and he denied her medical care and a referral to pain management. He dont return phone calls and his after hours service is a complete waste. The staff that works for him are no better. They have no customer service skills and dont talk with any manners. This is the worst doctor i have seen in a very long time. He is money hungry and dont care about his patients. Dont go to him unless you wanna die.
