A day before arriving she Crystal Reed of the billing department called to say I would have to pay $55 per session because Medicare only pays 80%. I told her I had supplemental insurance and that normally I never pay anything. She said I had to pay upfront and then she would bill my insurance and if they paid, she'd issue me a check. I told her if when I paid the $55 per treatment that my obligation to DCI would be paid in full and she wouldn't have to bill. I told her it would be double dipping. I asked her for a printed itemized list of the days with what's due and I would pay with my credit card. I told her I needed the itemized list to get reimbursed from my supplemental insurance. She said they didn't give itemized receipts. She said they hand wrote them. On Monday, I went to receive dialysis and was told I had to pay cash or money order before I could have my treatment. I said I needed an itemized list of what I'm paying for. They refused saying they could not give me one and I order for me to receive treatment I had to pay in cash or cashier's check. They said Krystal Reed told them that if I was paying with a credit card I could only pay to her and not the office. She said she would take my card over the phone. I then was refused service for not paying cash or paying over the phone. People are being scammed and the worst part is they are double billing...receiving cash from the patients and then billing the insurance company. I will be writing a complaint to Medicare,filing an insurance fraud claim and writing a letter to the attorney general. My doctor will also write a letter of grievance in my part. Receiving dialysis is a life sustaining process and to be denied through negligence has jeopardized my health.

This facility is the most poorly run facility I've worked at…read more The total lack of patient safety is extremely concerning. First off the number of infiltrations that occurred was astonishing. I would treat patients that had recently had this occurrence do to negligence of other staff, or the rush of new hires ( with most having no experience in healthcare) that were rushed into sticking patients with merely weeks of training. As well as many techs neglecting to follow policy including with handwashing or cleaning of accesses which puts the patients at high risk of infection. But the main problem here is the temporary FA being "on vacation" for most of my employment here or not following through with any complaints brought to her attention. I hope big changes are made for the sake of the patients here
