( 18 yrs. old ) and now, 2021, I am still going to this Beach/Campground ! ( 64 yrs. old ) Its a very large area. It has a long, large beach area. Beach is rocky, some sand. It has a boat ramp. Lots of bike trails. Lots of Picnic Tables. Nice playground area. Good washrooms. Good Parking. Lots of trees. Lots of wasp's in late summer. some mosquito's during summer months. There are quite a few business's right in the immediate Scotch Creek area. Nice , big super market. Its easy to find. very family friendly, and flat. The campground has a beautiful view of the hills across the lake (beautiful sunsets). The lake is calm and warm most days. Loved the location -- easy 8 minute drive to town to pick up groceries, wine, or just go out for dinner and a movie. I found the campground nice and quiet at night. WIFI will not reach beyond the office lawn let alone the first row of RV parking... and its SLOW, VERY SLOW! If you into group camping then there is huge grassy field and gazebo just for that get together as long as you are good with the long walk to shower/restroom. Water spigots scattered throughout the campground. Tent campings are between trees and have plenty of good shade. You say who needs WIFI or restroom in nature right? Trans Canada HWY with noisy vehicles zipping by begs the differ.

Gorgeous sandy beach and beautiful of course but the trains ran all night and we didn't get much sleep. With showers and running water it was good in that aspect. There were mostly RV's surrounding the area and permanent decks built on to some. If I had to stay there again I would...but 10 years down the road and in my own decked out RV and speed boat.

My husband, six year old son and I spend one sleepless night here passing through beautiful Salmon Arm. We considered packing up and leaving in the middle of the night. The lake is nice but can't understand what people like about this place. If you want a peaceful camping experience, don't stay here. I wish I had known! I've stayed at Cedars about 3 or 4 times now and there are things that I love and do not love about…read moreit. It's right off of the Trans-Canada Hwy, so it's easily accessible. Rates are not cheap but prices do include hot water showers and flush toilets. The women's restroom facility is not fancy and even though I appreciate the toilets, I find the showers a little greebly and actually prefer to use my camping shower when the weather is nice. The facility can get very busy because of the amount of women using the two available showers as well as the electrical outlets for hairdryers, etc. It's not cleaned as often or as thoroughly as it could be (although I know its cleaned once per day for sure) and they allow for a build-up of spider webs, which grosses me out because there are usually large spiders in them. Nonetheless, it certainly is better than a rotten smelling port-a-potty. There are some great, roomy tent sites with decent picnic tables. Others have very shoddy tables with minimal privacy and shade. The campground itself doesn't seem to get very busy so if you arrive early enough, you can get your pick of sites. As a group, we get the same one every year because we feel it's the best of the non-serviced tent sites (#67). It has shade, privacy, lots of room for two tents and vehicles and there's a water tap beside it. You can purchase necessities at the store such as wood, ice and snacks. The wood is always dry and the pieces are small enough that you can use a hatchet instead of an axe. I prefer to purchase everything else before I arrive or in Sicamous, which is about a 10-15min drive away. There's also a laundry facility, pool and hot tub in the main building, but I've never used them. I've walked around the RV park, which I think is lovely and very family friendly. The restrooms are considerably nicer. I will keep coming back to Cedars because it's peaceful and can get really hot weather. You definitely feel like you've escaped the city.

The rv sites are close than I've ever seen and when we asked of there was a different site available the host told us we actually were not booked for the day we're we there. I took out my confirmation email showing we were correct, she then told be if there was not spot for us, even though it was not our mistake, she's have to request for a refund from the boss. Wtheck. She then found us a spot which was better then the original, however it was a headache to deal with after a 4 hour drive. I do not recommend this place at all.
