I love this place. I like to come for lunch and eat their ribs and chicken combo. I get the rotisserie chicken though, so I can dip it with the variety of BBQ sauces they have. I mix all of them together, it tastes best to me that way. I also like to order sweet tea, corn, and potato salad with my meal. I also enjoy their dessert. This dining experience proved that we should've visited here last time instead of going to the F.D. at 120th & L. It was fairly busy when we arrived but we were seated immediately. The host spoke a bit to quickly for us but no big deal there. Our server (Lee) got to us right away, took our drinks/ appetizer order then offered to get us some F.D. chips while we waited. Our drinks and appetizer (Southside Rib Tips) arrived quickly and the portion was practically a meal in itself. While waiting for our drinks and appetizer to arrive our server (Lee) took our dinner orders, a two meat combo and a three meat combo, she left to place our order and returned with our drinks and appetizer. Lee is a great waitress and clearly does her job very well. Our orders also arrived very quickly and tasted every bit as good as they looked. Our server (Lee) checked on us frequently throughout our meal and offered us to go boxes when she saw that we were "slowing down". The restaurant was super clean and homey feeling, the staff was attentive and friendly, and our food was ordered and brought to us with speed and proficiency. It probably goes without saying, but this is not a vegetarian-friendly BBQ joint. They have side salads that are reasonably priced that a non-meat-eater can enjoy, but not much else. Manager was not helpful at all. Said it was grub hubs responsibility to refund my purchase because famous Dave's didn't get money for the order. I've had the opportunity to travel all around the world and I love BBQ. I have to say this was the best BBQ I've ever had, since the closing of a local BBQ Restaurant in St. Louis called "Trotter's." The hubs and I came in for lunch and had a great visit. We've never been to a famous Dave's before so the waitress really helped us out with the menu and the best things to try out. I got a grilled chicken salad which was amazing and Husband got the brisket sandwich....phenomenal brisket!!! So tender. My favorite was the cornbread muffin Omgosh to die for and the sauces!!! The manager came out and asked how everything was which I appreciated. Famous Courtney is a sweetheart. I'll come back again and again just to have the Southside rib-tips with their Memphis rub and Southside sauce on the side...I'm not sure what else is on the menu and don't care really...I'm hooked on these rib tips. Took the family (2 tween boys, wife and I) and spent about $80...so it's not a cheap dinner...but *none* of us walked away hungry or empty handed. Wife had the Smoked Salmon Spread and I'll tell you that the seasoned fire-grilled flatbread could be an appetizer worth having in itself...she reported the spread was very tasty to have. Will repeat for "special occassion" meals with the family...but perhaps it's a good thing that it's a bit pricey...otherwise we'd be gettin' fat on ribs all the time. read more

It's defiantly a chain but never a bad experience. I love LOVE the different sauces on the table and always leave with a to-go container.

First off the service was out of this world, to include a complimentary basket of their chips and a bottle of our favorite BBQ sauce. Half price appetizers during happy hour is off the hook. Sunday was 1/2 price appetizers all day. We made a meal out of the appetizers. The rib tips were tough but the manager was great and replaced them plus an extra appetizer at no charge. I also got a Georgia pulled pork sandwich that we split. I would recommend it as the meat was piled high and falling off the sides. The guys loved the awsome cat fish fingers. We just recently moved to the area, we've been abroad for the past decade, so we were excited to have a BBQ restaurant close to our home. I can't say enough about the positive experiences at this restaurant. The staff is friendly, professional and efficient. I've observed them working as a team to help each other deliver food to the tables. We always get the Feast and there is enough food for both of us and then some! We've eaten at other locations around the area because we happened to be out close to other restaurants and we always regret it. The food at this location is always delivered hot and it is picture perfect- exactly like the image on the menu. The location has always been clean and appeared to be well maintained every time we visited. The restrooms are always clean and stocked. I was rather disappointed with my ever-loved Famous Daves today. This is the first time I've gone to the one in Bellevue but go a lot to the one in Council Bluffs. I am positively addicted to their ranch and I am in no way a sauce person, or even a "ranch person" for that matter. It's sooooo good. I had training today which allots me 1 full hour to dine at the place of my choice. I planned on calling in a to go order to Famous Daves for their yummy lunch specials. I wasn't sure what time I would eat lunch, so I just called when my lunch break started. I ordered a sassy BBQ salad with pork, butter for their scrumptious cornbread muffins (which I have yet to conquer the recipe) and, of course, extra ranch. 30 MINUTE WAIT TIME! I couldn't believe it. If this was my normal work day, which is a 40 minute lunch, I would never have been able to make it, which makes me wonder if they are losing out on a large lunch portion if there to go wait times are 30 minutes. Nonetheless, since I had an hour, it was doable. had no where to wait while my simple salad was taking 30 minutes to prepare so I decided to wait there. I showed up ten minutes after I called, and low and behold there's my food dying in the window. 10 minutes, not 30 minutes. If I had came at the time they had originally told me, my food would have sat for 20 minutes. Even though extra ranch and butter was written on the box, I still had to ask for it. The gentleman at the front was super nice and friendly. Though the only thing that tripped me up until this point was the 30 minute wait time and the fact that my food was most likely prepared in 5 minutes, I was even more heartbroken to find that the pork given on my salad was gristley, greasy, and hard in some places. Gross! Not like it usually is. If I didn't love their food and ranch, I would have given less stars. I am hoping this was a fluke. read more

Can you give zero stars? Worst experience EVER. Our party of 8 was seated about 10 minutes after we arrived (dining room was empty..). Waited another 10 mins at our table after that. Had to go up to the host stand and ask for a server. Our drinks came 3 mins before our food. Two orders were wrong. No refills offered on beverages. This place was basically run by a bunch of senseless 17 year olds. No offense... But not worth a paying customer's time or money. Not good. And not worth the price stupid prices and mediocre food. We only went cuz it was for my 85 year old grandmas birthday, who chose the place. NEVER would go voluntarily. And will make sure to never go again. read more

Probably the best chain restaurant that specializes in ribs and other BBQ that I have experienced. The portions are very plentiful but prices are slightly high. Service is fast although sometimes so fast that I wonder how much is prepared in advance. They have a tremendous variety of meals: ribs, chicken, beef brisket, sandwiches, pulled pork, and much more. We have always loved this Famous Dave's, but probably will never go back again. They changed their Famous Dave's Famous Margarita and the new version is undrinkable. It had a huge grilled pineapple spear in it that overpowered the entire drink. I took mine back because I thought she misunderstood and she told me they changed it. How disappointing when you had the best margaritas in town. I told her I could drink mine but my husband could not, so he had a draw instead. Still charged us for two margaritas and the beer. Food came after a lengthy wait and my order was wrong. Couldn't eat it anyway because we still had not received silverware. I had to go back up front to get some. Really disappointed because this used to be one of our favorites, but when I spend $45. I expect good food, drinks and service. That did not happen, so I seriously doubt we will ever be back. There's too many good places to eat in Omaha and Bellevue, so I'm not going to waste my money. read more

Famous Dave's is the epitome of consistently good food. Walking in the door of any Famous Dave's USA, I know exactly what to expect from the sweet tea, BBQ sauces, to the ribs and baked beans. My husband and I have not been into this location for over a year. We had burgers which do not disappoint. They are charbroiled and delicious. I gave a 3 rating for the service. I specifically asked for everything on side with no sauce. I got no sauce, as well as no lettuce, or tomato. I had to ask for it. When I asked for it I was told it all came on the side. It got worse. The salad my husband asked for before his meal never came. The waitress blamed the cooks because of the take out orders and being backed up. It appeared we were her only table. I think as a server I would have been looking for my orders instead of blaming the cooks who served a wonderful burger. As a side note, we ordered take out from this same location 6 months ago. My husbands plain cheese burger came without cheese. He called and talked with manager and was promised a gift card for the inconvenience. It never happened. L street location seems to be better managed and have never had any issues. I hope someone from corporate reads this and let's Bellevue know that they need to pay attention to those customers in front of them and not just take out. read more

I usually love Famous Dave's, but my last experience was horrible. I went on a Saturday around 330pm, when it wasn't busy at all. We walked in and had to wait about 5 mins to be seated when there was about 4 other couples in the restaurant. Then we sat down and the waitress took our drink order. She then came back and said her shift was over and someone else would bring us our drinks. We waited 15 mins for a bottled beer and water that never came. All the while, about 6 waitresses were talking around the hostesses stand including the one that said her shift was over. After waiting so long for drinks we left. As we left, the waitresses said have a nice day, thanks for coming in. REALLY!!?? How could you not see we weren't being served. My work has Famous Dave's At Our jobsite of over 2000 people, I don't think they would want someone to say not to use Famous Daves again. read more

Food might be ok, however for the third time I have ordered from them I have not got silverwear, not one time. it smells great though.

When it first opened this place used to be good. No longer! Waitress tried to up sell us on everything. Prices have gone up but the quality has gone down. Slow service, broccoli was way over cooked; they replaced it with some new - just as over cooked (mushy). The brisket which used to be flavorful, tender and juicy is now dry and with little flavor; previously used be some of the best in town. It's a shame since this used be one of our favorites, but the last three visits have produced similar results. We won't go back - we gave it a chance to improve but it hasn't happened. read more

I ordered two brisket dinners with associated sides online for pick up and changed the desired pick-up time from ASAP (18 minutes) to 45 minutes later. Obviously the website can't deal with that type of change because when I finalized the order, rather that the time I had requested, I was given an arbitrary pick-up time of 35 minutes prior to my desired time. Not having any apparent options for changing the time online, I arrived at the arbitrarily assigned time and received cold, inedible food. The first piece of Brisket I tried was all fat (disgusting!). The second piece was so chewy it refused to be broken down the point that it could be swallowed. I finally gagged and spit it out. I don't believe this restaurant's owner and staff need to concern themselves about whether or not I will try to eat there again. read more
