As I was scheduling surgery appointment I mumbled to the nurse "liar" As I was waiting to get labs done for him his nurse called and told me he overheard me and that I should find a new doctor. Also he informed me that I had two hernias I asked if he could do both at the same time. he said they would only pay him for one that I would have to schedule the 2nd. So if you want a greedy liar for a Doctor by all means he's your man.

The nurses took such good care of us from the moment we walked in, having fun ways to get height and weight, having coloring pages and endless stickers, even making a surgical bracelet and hat for Puppy (our lovey). Then anesthesia was so impressive with their attention to detail, having my child hold the anesthesia mask and put fun stickers on it then painting the inside with yummy smelling cream so he wasn't worried and was excited to "blow up the balloon" when he got back to the OR. And then driving a racecar to the OR was the cherry on top!! Post op was equally helpful and so informative. I cannot recommend Cypress higher, I will recommend to all my family and friends especially for surgery on their littles.

You also have to sign a form saying they can just charge it whenever they want. They have 15 or so months to submit a claim to your insurance and then they will charge your card without sending a bill/statement at any time during those 15 months. They say their policy is to send a bill and then whether or not you get it, they charge your card. They also submitted 3 claims to insurance for the same thing after I paid one they were going to charge me a second time until I called. You have to be constantly checking your credit card balance and insurance claims in order to know what is going on because they didn't send me statements or they didn't get to my mailbox until after they already charged my card.

I took my 17-year-old son to Heartland Healthcare for a scheduled vaccine appointment, only to be…read moretold they wouldn't see him because he had never "established care" with one of their providers. The frustrating part is that my son has received care at this clinic since he was a young child. His primary care physician retired, and since then we've used the walk-in clinic whenever he needed care because it was more convenient than scheduling with the provider they assigned him to. Apparently, those visits don't count as establishing care. I was told they couldn't give him a vaccine because they didn't know his health history, which was confusing considering all of his medical records should already be within the same clinic system. If his records weren't readily available, that seems like an internal issue--not something that should prevent a patient from receiving a routine vaccine. Yet I could walk across the street to the health department and have the same vaccine administered without any issue. That policy simply doesn't make sense to me. It left me feeling like the priority was requiring an office visit--with the associated copay and insurance billing--before providing a routine vaccine rather than simply meeting a patient's healthcare needs. Whether or not that was the intent, that's certainly how it came across. This isn't a knock on our hospital. I want our local hospital to succeed--we absolutely need a hospital in this community. But experiences like this make it difficult to have confidence in the clinic.
