I went in with a Gastro issue with my dog brought in a stool sample. they threw it out, saying we thought you denied the stool sample. When I asked the receptionist if that makes sense to her, i brought in a dog with gastric issues and a stool sample, maybe I would like it tested "oh, I wasn't there" For $1400 she received no treatment a shot of antiemetic, blood culture a case of Gasto diet, no answers. To redo the blood panel in 3 months for liver enzymes, the new Vet said that's great. It will be much cheaper because we just have to do the one panel. One of the other vets came over and said oh no, we no longer do separate panels , we have to redo the whole panel. Rip off. $$$$ There is a reason they are the only vet excepting patients. And you're right, they do not know how to triage a pet, a skin rash is just as important as bld poisoning in their books.
