Faraos Cigarer Comics and Books is the best comicbook store I've ever been to. Its 3 stories full of comics ranging from Marvel, DC, Image, European comics as well as Manga and anime. Faraos Cigarer is an absolute treasure trove if you're into comics, games, or collectibles. The selection is massive--everything from mainstream Marvel and DC to indie and European graphic novels you'd have a hard time finding elsewhere. It feels like you could get lost in here for hours (in the best way). The staff really knows their stuff and are approachable whether you're a seasoned collector or just curious. I loved how organized the store is despite how much they have in stock--rows of comics, shelves of board games, RPGs, miniatures, even some vintage finds. It's the kind of place where you keep discovering new corners. Prices are fair, and it's very easy to end up walking out with more than you planned (I definitely did). This store is located on the 1.1 km shopping zone. It is a pop culture store with Danish comic books, silver age to golden age and a few American items. Graphic novels, posters, anime to Funko. It is large and 3 levels. Have fun inside. Across the street is a coffee shop. I love coming across comic book stores. It was very busy inside. They also sell new comic books inside. There are three Faraos Cigarer locations, and they each have a slightly different speciality. They have comics, figures, card/board games, etc. If you don't find what you're looking for at one store, ask or check the other locations. They are all close by to eacho other. One location has amazingly detailed life-size displays (and rooms to play Magic:The Gathering and Pokemon card games). I basically live here. No really, I go here at least once a week. I was there yesterday and also today! It's my happy place. The people working there know me by name and everything. My wallet hates me, but I need some new figures all the time okay? The staff is SO kind and will gladly order stuff home for you if possible, and they have a HUGE assortment of comics, both old and new! If you've got any questions regarding which comics to buy, don't be afraid of asking them - they won't judge! They have everything from comics to carpets. Seriously, there's this really cool Captain America carpet that I'm really wanting but, alas.... money. Amazing store with separate shops for board games, comics, graphic novels, collectibles and novelty items. Some great finds. I bought a Godzilla pillow case and a Pikachu dress for my wife. Wanted to spend loads more money but had to resist. Cool to see some BIG life-size maquette on display like Batman, Space Marines, Spider-Man and more. They even had a whole bloody store just for Tin-Tin. Weird, guess it's big in DEN. Thought he was French. Nice downstairs of comic store just for anime. Lack of Godzilla stuff unfortunately. But friendly staff all over the place! Reminds me of Forbidden Planet In UK but probably better and bigger. I would definitely come again and I'll make it my basecamp whenever in CPH. Plenty of hipster coffee shops and restaurants on the same street. read more

I've been to their comic book shop once several years ago and was impressed with their offerings. The prices are a little higher than in the states but I suppose that's due to importing. Stupidly I didn't see the other side of the store until very recently. CARD/BOARD GAME HEAVEN. They have almost every game and expansion that you are looking for (at a small premium). You can also go upstairs to play and they have some tournaments. The employees are friendly and the shop is clean. Amazon.com was always my go-to place to purchase board games but since moving to DK, sadly those days are over... Luckily, I have Faraos Cigarer. This is pretty much your one stop shop for board games and comics, plus much much more. Faraos is literally filled with board games and comics from the floor to the ceiling. If you can't find a specific board game online, chances are, Faraos will have it. The Faraos staff are also friendly and helpful so don't hesitate to ask them if you have any questions. The prices are a bit steep but when comparing prices with sellers online plus shipping to DK, you'll end up breaking even or the difference won't be that big. They even have a section where locals get together and play various RPGs. We heard a few games being played in English so ex-pats may want to check out Faraos to look for a group to join. read more
