The best food of my weeklong Italy trip. I was in Rome and Amalfi Coast (stayed in Maiori) and had…read morebeen very disappointed with the food until then. Usually the pasta was either bland or too Al dente (literally undercooked). I came to Cico's Pub not assuming anything good would come of it for that reason, but also desperate to get more options than just pasta and pizza. They have burgers, sushi, fries, pasta, anything you name it. The owner was super nice -- it's a family business. I got a pasta (can't remember the name) and french fries. I just LOVED the fries, maybe it was I hadn't had the best food this whole trip, but those fries were literally cooked to perfection. The pasta, which I asked to be well done (lol) was similar to a pasta I just had earlier, but still, it was good. Super cheesy and filling though, couldn't finish most of it. But nothing to complain about. My friends all also enjoyed their food! The owner was super nice and made it our best dining experience in Italy that trip. He even brought two shots to us to end our meal for whoever wanted it. One was limoncello and the other was a super bitter one, but I bet some people would enjoy it. We sat outside while eating, but the inside pub is super cool with different games. Definitely come here with a group and especially great for foreigners because easy to communicate in English with the owner! Would highly recommend!

Italian translation follows English one:…read more We ate at this Bruschetteria because it was recommended to us. We looked at the menu and noticed they had salads which my wife wanted. First off the service is awful, mainly because the owner, I believe, is pushy, tries to push the most expensive dishes on you. My wife had the Rustico salad and it was wonderful!it was fresh and tasty with fruit, cheese and fresh walnuts, on the side some seasoned and oiled toasted bread. They are good at making salads although it and most others are 9 euro and up. The Bruschettas which they are known for are large, but they lack in flavor, I ordered a bruschetta sandwich and it was comprised of tomatoes, cheese and olive oil, it was supposed to have basil which they neglected to tell me they lacked. When I complained the basil was missing the owner again tried to push the most expensive bruschetta, I tried to tell him I didn't want pesto or tuna.... in the end the chef left to go pick some basil, because the owner said basil was out of season (ballonei as I have it growing in Washington DC) and finally 10 minutes later after my wife was finished with her meal they took my sandwich and made a new one. The sandwhich wasn't any better and lacked flavor, had they sautés the tomatoes with garlic and seasoning it would have been great! The bill was interesting, they charged 4 euro for one plastic bottle water and 2euro service fee, none of which was mentioned on the menu (and I had asked for tap water..) So to summarize this place, while charming perhaps I felt it was a shady business. We left before I ate my San which because of the cigarette smoke, I asked them to wrap my meal for later and they picked up a napkin and wrapped it with that. I would not return, salads good but expensive, what they are named for, they are a failure. They get an "F" in my book because I can make a better sandwich, but they are pushy and the owner rather rude! Stay away, there's a better classier (fish) restaurant down the street and another (meat) up the street.
