Stopped in at the store in Hamilton and learned there was another in Jamesport so went there too. The fragrances are unique and amazing and the folks tat own and operate the stores are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Prices are reasonable and I am headed home with dozens of items. Visited this cute decor & gift store while on a getaway trip. First, Hamilton is such a cute little town with a charming Main Street & the home of JC Penney, the founder. This shop is tucked in amidst cute shops & museums. We happened to shop on a day the owner & his son were in the store - very friendly & conversational pair. The associate working was all smiles & very helpful and pleasant (she has glasses & short hair)- sorry I didn't catch her name. They were re-merchandising the store so things weren't all in place but the associate was very helpful. Wonderful candles (they hand pour themselves) and very cute assortment of decor. 4 stars because items were a bit pricey. We also visited the larger Jamesport store and met the owner & her adorable granddaughter who was modeling her Halloween costume. read more

October 19, 2018. Around 2 pm. I have shopped at this store for years, and until the summer of 2018 the staff was some of the best employees anyone could ask for. This summer of 2018 marked a 180 in the way the 'help' acts, they are standoffish, in a little clique almost when behind the counter when there are 2 or more, and even out on the floor they treat you like you are lucky they even let you in the door. The one woman today was so rude I actually asked her if the place was under new ownership or management, as she was the worst employee I had seen in the store to date. I could not find what I was looking for and thought maybe there was some in the back, since it was such a 'popular item' and she was quick to tell me that everything they had was on the shelf. She made no move to look, didn't know her stock at all to suggest that it might be in a lotion, (which I had not known until I came home and looked their website up) nor offer to come out from behind the counter and help me, or the other few customers. I told my granddaughters to go outside and wait for me and I went back and told her that I had shopped in the store for years and that she was rude and hateful and I would not ever be back. The employees prior to this summer were always friendly and helpful. The ones that have been in there lately are not friendly nor helpful. In fact they treat you like dirt. I don't know what has happened to this store, but I will not be going back ever. read more
