I can't say enough how great Farmers is, so I'll try and keep this short. So my home was affected by the Eaton Canyon disaster and I had some ash and smoke damage in and around the house. I hadn't really thought about going through insurance (I was kind of in a literal fog for a bit), until I got a call from a Farmers rep asking if I was OK and if I needed anything. I asked around and many said it would be a good idea to just go through my insurance to cover any expenses to clean up my home and fix any damages due to the winds and fires. So I called the rep back and said I'd like to go through the process of making a claim. The process was very painless and it was all done online. A couple days later, I got a call from a Farmers adjuster and made an appointment to do an assessment of my home. The adjuster came only a few days after the call, all the way from the East Coast. After spending about an hour or so looking over my home, the adjuster went back, did his report, and sent me digitally a full, detailed assessment of what needed to be done and an estimate of the costs. This whole process took only a week or so to wrap up. This was highly unexpected, as I heard from neighbors and others affected by the fires that their insurance was taking forever and in some cases wouldn't even be able to help due to lack of fire coverage. I was refer from my family to try their Auto Insurance with one of my new car; a Full Coverage Policy. At first, it was hard to make new changes when I been through many years and built a relationship with other Insurance, but this one I was glad I did; no regrets at all. In fact, I changed all my cars Insurance over to Agent Hung at Farmers. For someone like me who does not know much about the policy that I paid for, other than meeting the requirement to drive legally on the road, but Agent Hung took the time to show me the best policy that would fit me and worthy for my budget. The coverage was way better than what I normally paid for with my old Insurance. Every time when I have a accident, I would be able to call with no problem. I may reach them even during their after-hours; now that is beyond customer service working outside of their office, and still able to help and answer customer with their personal phone. I trust and rely on Agent Hung each every time; he have saved me time and money. He even helped me get money for the days that I do not have my car while it was being fixed in the auto shop (which paid for my Uber/Lyft when I needed it and was carless). He had dealt with many of my cases, and I did not have to do much other than give him my accident reports he needs, and he took it well as if he was my lawyer. Agent Hung gave me a good and trustworthy auto shop referral to take my car into, which is now my favorite auto shop to get my car worked and fixed when need to. Next and honestly, getting Life Insurance is no fun at all, or to even think about it and planning your after-death. After being released from the hospital (for I never or rarely ever go to the hospital) and thinking about my future, I started to consider getting Life Insurance for just in case if something terrible happen to me, and still able to support my family financially without me. Agent Todd showed me the way and interest me in the Flexible Premium Universal Life Insurance Policy, and took the time to explain clearly. He made sure that this was the policy that I wanted to avoid any cancelations problems once I signed my life away. At the end of the day, I took the policy and believe this was the best way to invest my hard work money into, instead of putting my money into my saving accounts at the bank. Why gain a couple of pennies or dollars monthly when I may gain a lot more interest in the long-run with their Universal Life Insurance. I plan to retire at a young age from having a good early start building my funds with Farmers. Thank you Agent Todd for making that happen while I came to put my Auto Insurance together. Do you hate paying for Insurance? Yes? I'm one of them. Found Todd on Yelp and he went through my current policies and asked who the hell i worked with because I was overpaying. He asked for a few days to reassess what I really needed before coming back. I've been a client of Todd Ma's for several years. In March I received a letter from Farmers stating that there was a problem renewing my policy this July and to contact my agent. When I called Todd, I spoke to a Loana who advised me that a satellite photo of my roof appeared to indicate there was a problem with the roof because of shading variations on different parts of the roof. I told Loana that a year prior I had a roofing company replace a number of cracked concrete tiles. The newer tiles were a lighter shade compared to the originals, which would explain the spots of different color on the roof. Loana said that made sense and advised me they would use a drone service to take pictures to address Farmer's concerns. She told me they would reach out to me if they needed anything else but not to worry because this was becoming a common request from Farmers. Last Monday it occurred to me that I hadn't received an update on my insurance renewal. When I logged into the Farmers website, I was shocked to see that the policy had been cancelled at the beginning of July. Two weeks had passed with no coverage on my home and not a peep from Todd. I immediately called Todd Ma's agency and spoke to a Maribel. She apologized and said Loana was on maternity leave and it looked like the drone service was never ordered. I told her that I easily could have provided pictures of the roof, but that I was told not to worry about it. She also apologized that no one called me to tell me my policy was expiring with no renewal. She sent me a copy of the satellite photo Farmers was using, and asked me provide pictures of that part of the roof. When I followed up several days later she advised me that Farmers now wanted pictures of the entire roof. Since it would now take another 48 hours for Farmers to review the new photos, I asked if they could find me a policy with another carrier. After taking some additional info, Maribel told me she'd get right back to me. When I didn't hear back two days later I called and left a voicemail for a status. It's now four days later and it appears I've been ghosted. I called another insurance agency this morning and obtained a new policy through another carrier. Todd Ma's agency was great when there were no issues and all they had to do was collect my premiums, however when I needed their help they showed how unprofessional they really are.
