Bryngwenyn Farm is just as steeps writes and in a beautiful spot, I would definitely recommend its' location for a peaceful getaway with its' holiday cottages and b and b with the great advantage of the fabulous mainly organic farmshop with wonderful proper organic and freerange eggs(delicious for breakfast today). As well as doing a good shop there, we bought the aforementioned sausages, pork etc some wonderful organic vegetables, we had delicious home made cake and tea so definitely a step up from the usual supermarket venture.

Bryngwenyn Farm is many things in one. The part we go for is the Farm Shop. We were pointed here by…read moreout neighbours and decided to visit one Sunday afternoon. It is a bit off the beaten track so we had never seen it before, but we were pleasantly surprised. The shop itself is tiny, but still seems to hold plenty of goodies. There is a freezer full of meat (including the best sausages we have ever tasted), a fridge packed with cheese, yoghurt, milk and more, another freezer with bread, icecream and frozen fruits, a fruit and vegetable section and then shelves full of everything you can think of. They even stock Ecover products so if you are looking to avoid the supermarket, this is the place to go. Their home-milled flour is well worth a try and makes delicious bread. The shop is also a cafe and is laid out with a few tables. If you are looking for something different, they sell Alpaca wool gloves and hats! The rest of the farm includes holiday cottages and animals to see as well as the flour mill. I am tempted to sign up for one of the bread making courses. It is in an idyllic spot too with gorgeous views and a posse of sheep to greet you as you make your way down the track!

Pemberton's Chocolate Farm is a fantastic location for a day out, particularly if you have kids…read more You can have a tour of the chocolate factories in their very own 'chocolate village' and witness a demonstration of chocolate-making in action, and even have a go yourself. They are extremely family-friendly, and encourage the children to get 'up close and personal' with the whole process. You can also watch a film on the history and making of chocolate in the cinema. In peak season they also have a Chocolate Fountain room, where you can buy 'kebabs' made of fruit, marshmallow or donuts and dunk them in the chocolate, along with a chocolate shop where you can purchase their own products and a separate shop for sweets and fudge. The only thing you need to bring is an empty stomach and possibly a sick bag for the journey home!

After checking with Swansea and gorseinon councils, the parking ticket put on my car on Thursday…read more23rd January was not issued by the above councils, and they don't use LPS as a fine collector. both councils said the land at the rear of the market is private land belonging to the market, , which they believe is charged to park, but they own a park a little further up.. if the market people are issuing tickets for parking to pick up goods purchased in their shops I think this is disgusting, how do they expect a pensioner to carry a half hundredweight bag of budgie seed several hundred yards to the car park and Spend £35 in the pet shop, plus a further £7 in the iron mongers after the car had been moved to a parking spot, the fine was £85 reduced to £50 if paid in 14 days and under, plus a further £1 admin charge. I have bought lots from this market over the years ive visited this town. but now it looks like i'll have to find another shop selling bulk budgie seed closer to home...

This store has been recently refurbished and is 100 times better…read more I get all my animal supplies here. The staff are friendly and helpful, the prices are great and the store itself is spotless with plenty of parking.
