Breeder Yes, adopting is ideal. I've adopted, too…read more Sometimes, however, getting a dog from a breeder is the best option, like for those of us with hardcore allergies, or for other reasons may want a non-shedding dog. In those cases, finding a good breeder who not a puppy mill is essential. I did much research prior to deciding what breeder to select. I read about warning signs and looked at reviews, history with state regulators, and the breeders' own transparency. One breeder refused to let anyone on their property; puppy pickups happened at local truck stops. Jason at Kingdom Dogs answered all my questions. When I finally decided to visit them, I still wasn't sure about getting a puppy. They happened to have a few unclaimed yet, and we fell in love with a floofy little cockapoo. He is now more than a year old, and a whopping 35 pounds (he was supposed to max out at 30), but has the sweetest disposition and is smart, too. Oliver brings us joy every day. I give Kingdom Dogs 4 stars instead of 5 because, at the time we got Oliver, they were still docking cockapoo tails in the tradition of Cocker Spaniels. While his little nub is cute, I'd prefer tails be left natural. I think they stopped that practice in 2020, but I'm not sure. They also have slowed down the breeding so they have a waiting list now, ensuring that there are rarely puppies available who have to wait to be sold. This is better for everyone. Kingdom Dogs is located on farmland in Carthage, Missouri. It's a family business. A few months ago, I met another cockapoo owner at the groomers. He had a dog with him from Kingdom Dogs, too. He said that was his second, and he was thinking about getting a third, because of their sweet disposition. If I got a third dog, I would have to get on Yelp for referrals for divorce attorneys, realtors, and moving companies!

This is the worst customer service company I have ever work with. I purchased a dog from a breeder…read moreand they used this company to ship it. We paid to have the dog shipped to a town within 30 mins of our location. We were told the driver would text us the day before pickup with a location to meet. The driver gave us a location in another state that was more then two hours away. When we asked why so far he stated that that was the closes he could come which we found later he driver up 95 10 mins from our house. We called the company and just got a voice mail. We called the breeder and she called the company and they changed the location to 30 mins away. The day of the pickup we were suppose to meet the driver at 6:00 pm. We got stuck in traffic and text the driver to let him know we would be a few mins late. We arrived at the location at 6:05. The driver was not there. The driver did not show until 7:10. We called the driver 15 times and text him several times with no answer. We contracted the breeder and she called the driver and he picked up right away tell her he had a issue with his phone but it was fixed. I called him right back 8 more times and he never picked up. I tried to call the company the next day 10 times to file a complaint and all I got was a voice mail message. On their website they have a section where you can send a e-mail to have someone contact you. I have done that several times and still have not gotten any response form them. Do not use this company in an fashion!!!

No Star Deserved, this company should be put out of business. We trusted the breeder, Platinum…read moreDoodles, we bought our puppy from to have him transported to us safely and humanely. She never gave us the name of the company, just the driver's contact information. We ignorantly thought ground transport wouldn't be traumatic like being alone in a noisy, cold plane. The breeder said our dog would have someone with him on the ground transport and furthermore said she had used the company for years. He arrived in an 18 wheeler that had kennels on each side of the trailer from ceiling to floor. The driver gave him to us smelling wretched, covered in urine and feces. The driver gave us an empty apology, shrugged his shoulders and asked us to sign a receipt form. The next day we took our lethargic dog that had horrible diarrhea to the vet to find out he was severely dehydrated with Hook and Giardia Worms that he contracted on the transport. After his second round of medications and de-wormers, he is still sick. I have since learned PetEx is NOT approved by the BBB due to complaints. I wish I would have known before he was transported but hope this saves other animals from going through what our poor guy has been through. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
