I always leave with a horrific headache after a couple of hours in an enclosed space with the high pitched squeals of sweaty children having far more fun than is good for them. However, the silver lining to these places is the guaranteed time off resulting from the muckle nap small children will need shortly after visiting. It makes that couple of hours all worthwhile and keeps me coming back and happily handing over money. Bubbles Factory is purpose built and a really good soft play. The cafe area is clean, bright and appealing and the soft play area is well maintained and adored by big and small children alike. On this visit I ordered a coffee and empire biscuit for me and a cheese sandwich for puff. It is worth noting that a wait for food is usual but since everything is freshly prepared and there is plenty to distracted impatient children this hasn't ever been an issue for us, even on really busy rainy days. The coffee isn't brilliant, it's a machine rather than proper espresso and they do loose a star for that - proper good coffee would make me much happier here! But the empire biscuit and the cheese sandwich were very good and since puff went on to sleep for a mammoth 3 hours following our visit I'll be going back.

Even so, it wasn't as hot as I'd expected so our winter jumpers were OK, minus coats of course which we left in the car. The animals and birds are well looked after with lots of space to move about in and seem very healthy and happy. The best experience was the 'animal handling' session there are several per day, the last being at 4.30pm. We were the only people on that occasion and were delighted to 'meet' and hold a corn snake, fat-tailed Gecko and tree frog. Our thanks must go to Kevin who brought the animals to us, explained about their lives and habits, and knowledgeably answered all our questions. He's a real credit to Amazonia. I think the way that this (and other similar) places are advertised under 'kids' activities' is totally wrong because it may put off a lot of adults who would find it totally absorbing and fascinating. Children these days have a tiny attention span and lose interest extremely quickly (as a previous reviewer said). I saw a couple of kids around the age of 8 or 9 chasing each other about and playing hide and seek instead of looking at, and being enchanted by, the animals. Obviously there would be exceptions to this rule and I'm sure some children would get a lot out of this experience. However, I think it should be marketed more for all age groups so that adults with an interest in rainforests and the creatures that live there would be more inclined to go and I am convinced they are the ones who would get the most out of the visit (as we did). There's a little shop where you can buy toys and a few other things. It was disappointing that they don't offer Amazonia T-shirts, mugs, pens or other named merchandise. Our only other gripe is that we found Amazonia difficult to find from the road which runs round Strathclyde Park. The signposts alongside the road are tiny and difficult to read. However, that aside, it was a totally wonderful experience and highly recommended!!

We showed up on a Monday evening (was also a bank holiday) without having booked, and although the place was quite busy we had no trouble getting a 'flight time' and were on the trampolines about 10 mins after arrival. We took the subway and it's about a 5 minute walk from Kinning Park station, so very accessible and easy to find (if you just follow googlemaps...not sure we would've found it on our own haha) They make you sign a wee disclaimer form which is SO easy and conveniently done on a set of computers specially for that task. This is much quicker and simpler than writing all the info down! It costs a tenner for an hour's 'flight time,' but honestly I think that's enough! You can get a 2 hour pass but we were knackered after about 20 mins and had to take regular water and sit-down breaks. Make no mistake, this is sweaty, sweaty exercise! A couple of wee negatives bring it down to 4 stars- the lockers they have are pretty tiny, and I had my uni bag with me. I ended up having to just put my valuables there and leave my laptop and all my books in my bag on top of the lockers. Bit annoying! They went through a quick safety briefing which I tried to catch all of but the woman spoke pretty quickly, and used some terms which I didn't understand at first like 'gainers' (which is when you run into a flip I think? still not sure haha). Naturally the boyf was way too excited about getting on the trampolines and listened to none of the safety briefing, but they have wee referee people blowing whistles at you all the time if you break the rules. The selection of activities is quite extensive- there are normal trampolines, dodgeball, basketball, a HUGE foam pit with various platforms to jump off from, and punching bags which are incredibly high up, but if you can jump high enough you can climb onto them! The crowd that night was a mixture of kids and the odd unlucky parent who looked like they were having the worst time ever, a group of 'lads', some real professionals who were flipping and bouncing all over the place, and us! This place really made me think about how many inhibitions adults have! There I was watching little kids do running backflips into the foam pit, and I had to really, really psych myself up about doing a frontflip! Finally did it, as did boyf, and we were all proud of ourselves for having done a literal fraction of what these 3ft tall energizer bunnies were achieving. Both of us ended up with sore backs, and both of us had done it the same way- by stiffening up on one of our first landings and feeling a jolt all the way up our backs. So if there's one good bit of advice I can give- it's loosen up and try not to let your grownup 'but this is dangerous' voice take over! The more relaxed you are the less you're likely to get injured. Would love to come here with a big group of pals, and will definitely be back!

Well that was fun…read more Absolutely done my back in almost immediately, so didn't give it my all. All the more reason to go back. They have trampolines. Lots of them. More importantly, they have dodgeball! The super friendly staff even acted as refs. There's also a few basketball hoops (don't forget this all involves bouncing) and a foam pit with different ramps to jump from. All of this adds up to mega fun for kids and there's a lot of special events marketed for the young and fearless. But, that shouldn't put off adults, with or without kids. There's an obvious exercise angle to all of this, but at a tenner a go I suspect it will appeal to most people as 'a fun thing to do'. Some proper changing areas and more food options would be a treat, especially given the exercise aspect. There's only vending machines with the usual at the moment. Hard work, but fun. Give it a try.

This really is soft play heaven. A huge indoor play area for the little ones with a great cafe for…read morethe adults. The only drawback for me with this place is that as it is so big, if you are attending with toddlers you really can't sit back and enjoy your coffee while you watch them play. However, there is a great variety of play options for a wide age range. On weekdays there are lots of extra toys and little ride in cars and scooters for the toddlers. Sadly these aren't out at the weekends (I guess it is too busy at the weekends to make this feasible). Also watch out for an increase in the entrance fee at weekends, though this seems to be the case at other soft plays too. The cafe has a great selection of cakes, traybakes, snacks, breakfast and lunch options too. We have only ever had coffee and cake, but this has been lovely. Any time we have been the facilities have always been clean and maintained to a good standard. The changing facilities are spacious and well maintained also. For the older kids there is lots to keep them entertained also, the highlight being a 20ft drop slide called The Warp Drop... Not sure I'd be brave enough to try this one though! I really like this place and my two year old has a ball here. Though for this age group I would recommend attending early before it gets too busy, especially at the weekend !

Thanks to David A for organising this awesome UYE as part of the Festival of Firsts. We visited Jurassic Parrr on a cloudy/sunny Saturday to take on the challenge of 18 holes of dino-fun times. But first, we needed to conquer the cafe. There's lots of outdoor seating and comfy couches inside. We ordered at the counter after locating a menu - I went for a baked potato with ham and cheese. At a whopping £5.50 I was less than chuffed at the price but needs must - I would've definitely had a tantrum if I was required to mini golf on an empty stomach. The topping was great - more like gammon than ham, and lashings of cheese. The potato wasn't great though, a little dry. The outside of the potato was super crisp and yum, so I just scooped out most of the middle and ate the topping and skin. Onto the golf: it's £7.50 per adult and for that you get a putter, ball, and a score card. It's probably best to play in a group of 4 and so we split into two groups. There's some pretty cool holes along the way but it would be loads better if there was a bit of an upgrade and more novelty elements. All in all though, it was a pretty fun way to spend an hour or so, and I'd go back in the future.

We generally enjoy playing mini golf and a themed mini golf park makes it just that much more enjoyable. We really enjoyed that this particular golf course takes into account 3 of our senses. You get the visual from the environment, the giant dinosaurs (some of them moves), the cave, the water, etc. They have speakers with growls and nature type sounds, it even smells like fire. Plus, they have an app to take down scores and as lovers of new technologies, we really enjoyed having the option to go paperless. The only downfall, was the small amount of "unusual" holes. There was only 3 or 4 holes which were directly linked to the theme, the others were just the usual plain holes you find in most mini golf courses (and not overly challenging at that). we really enjoyed our round, but we wont be going out of our way to go back again.

There have definitely been some improvements to this soft play since I wrote my first review in that the under two area has been stocked with more toys to keep the very little ones happy. More of the toys are functioning and cleaner I would say too. The main toilets are better maintained now and are always clean. However the baby changing area is not so fragrant still! Ok by its nature it is not going to smell of flowers, but compared to other baby changing areas I feel it could be improved. Perhaps it needs checked and freshened up by staff more regularly? Too much toilet talk? Sorry, but it has to be said! Ok so on to the food... This is one of my favourite soft play centres in terms of the food. The food is of a good quality for this sort of establishment with a good selection of tasty dishes for big and little folk alike! I am a BIG fan of the home cooked chilli with chips and cheese - total comfort food! There is an ice cream bar which goes down a treat with the little ones and helps to cool then down after an hour or two of soft play adventuring! This visit was a beautifully sunny day so the perfect day to wander around checking out all the animals; goats, donkeys, GIANT bunnies, guinea pigs, cows, sheep, rats, collie dogs, geese and puff's favourite a cat - we have a cat at home!!! As well as a farmyard full of animals to check out, you can pet lots of the wee ones. A whole barn full of fluffy bunnies, chickens and guinea pigs to stroke. Unless like me you're allergic in which case not touching is a much better option - puffy eyes, manic sneezing and a snotty nose does not make for a fun day out. Once you have spent a happy hour trying to teach a stubborn one year old any animal noise other than meeow, and failed, there is still plenty to do here with an inflatable cow bouncy castle, indoor soft play area, tractors to ride, trampolines to bounce, fossils to uncover and a lovely cafe to eat cake and drink coffee in. It has to be said that a rainy day would not completely ruin a trip to Almond Valley. There is plenty to do under cover and even a big picnic barn to eat in, not to brag but we used it for shade because it was so hot.

The soft play area is a decent size, and for 3 year olds and up is great with lots to entertain them with all the usual soft play equipment for clambering over, sliding down... There is a small area cordoned off for younger toddlers. For me this was a bit of a let down. My 1 year old is too small for the bigger soft play area, but this cordoned off area had very little to entertain her and was too small for her. The seating area for coffees and lunches has a good capacity, but the tables and chairs are densely packed in to a relatively small space, meaning it felt a little cramped. The food itself was OK. I had a sweet chilli chicken wrap but the chicken was processed and artificial in texture and taste. The portion sizes were generous and the little ones were happy with their meals of macaroni cheese and hot dog and chips. I wouldn't rush back to this soft play until my youngest is closer to 3 years in age, but for the over 3s this is not a bad soft play at all!
