Dinner here. An interesting environment on a farm. The dining hall is essentially open air in a reconstructed barn building. One must order on the way into the building and sit at communal table on bench seats. However the service is good and the food was well prepared. There is a store where one can buy bread and other items. The menu is varied but there is not too much for a vegetarian: pizza, a vegetable sandwich, and a salad. Simply fabulous restaurant experience. I don't understand the previous reviews. The restaurant is a non typical experience, but "Vive la différence" This is not a place for those who like suburb chain food. Perhaps we were in the middle of nowhere overlooking beautiful countryside, but it is worth it. We spent 2 weeks traveling from Salt Lake City to Armstrong BC. We stopped and ate a variety of restaurants (and wineries) along the way through Walla Walla and returning back through Island Park, ID. This restaurant was by far our favorite. The venue is original, the service, drinks, and food are excellent. Plus, the experience extraordinary. So much so, we ate there for dinner one night and returned the next day to eat lunch. Don't bother making a reservation it doesn't matter if you have one you still have to line up to order your food. Oh and bring a good book with you to help pass the time. It took 90 minutes for our food to arrive. Good home still cooking, nothing too special. Would I go back, probably not. read more

Just because they raise cattle does not mean they need to treat their customers as such! Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe the experience. The endless line!! (we waited almost an hour). Standing in the hot sun to arrive at the hostess station, only to be forced to order on the spot, was rude and abrupt and frankly, anxiety-inducing. Customers are more intelligent than they give credit, as we are well aware that Farmstrong is sacrificing the customer's experience to save on correctly staffing their facility - benefiting the owner's bank account directly at the customer's expense. There should be regular table service for what Farmstrong charges their customers - where patrons can sit, relax, and enjoy the experience. It's a quality of service issue and an accessibility issue as what senior citizen deserves to be lined up like cattle for branding!? But the experience they're providing has been cheapened from the concept they started with. Furthermore, the pricing no longer fits the quality of the food. The new menu posted on social media is without prices for a reason. They will no longer prepare you for how they will gauge you at the gate. Preparing food off a supplier truck is far from the farmers' market/ local vendor/farm-to-table experience they've previously marketed. My family and I felt that the last experience of driving nearly 3 hours round trip from Kamloops for subpar cider, Earl's quality food, and almost zero table service was absolutely not worth the time, gas or stress! Farmstrong can do better - we've seen it. Prioritize food quality, customer experience and accessibility. Otherwise, they may as well feed us out of a trough! read more

Absolutely worth the trek to get here. This place was amazing. The brisket sandwich was out of this world. It was so good. The ciders were all good too. We did the taster (harvest was our favorite). A loving setting to sit outside and have your lunch. The inside area was nice too. COVID procedures are all in place. We would totally recommend. read more

Hello. My daughter took me there today. Nice place, good venue but A little bizaar ordering as you come in. Line up. This makes it rather rushed to think what you want to eat or drink. It should be a relaxed experience not rushed. Servers should be used to order not at the entrance. Food was good. read more

Ordered our food at the door when entering Restaurant We were seated and quickly received our drinks Then we waited and waited for our food From the time of ordering to when we got our meal was 1 1/2 hours. That's a long time to wait for our order. Suggestions, my pulled pork sandwich was dry, needed a side of bbq sauce. 1/2 chicken breast was dry otherwise meal was good Wait staff never spoke to us during the 1 1/2 hour wait for food until we asked if our food was coming. We travelled to Farmstrong Cider yesterday and stopped for a mid day snack. As it was very hot, I'm glad we found the little section of the restaurant which was partially air-conditioned. The service was good but unusual in that you order at the entrance. We tried a flight of cider, some chips and pico de gallo and a small pizza. All good but the star of the stop was a peach pie we included at the end. read more

I was disappointed. I thought there would be more to it. The prices were higher than expected. A mediocre salad with anemic chicken and tasteless dressing was around $25. A 4-pack of ok cider was $22. The service was minimal but about on par with what we're used to these days. Very weird setup - when you come in, you pick up a menu and you have to order right then and there, before you are even seated! There was a big lineup of people standing in the heat while customers were trying to figure out what they wanted for lunch. It wouldn't have been so bad if there was something interesting to see but it's really just an old barn in a reasonably picturesque farm setting - nothing special at all. The ciders are very good. All the ciders have great flavour however are on the sweet side including the dry ones. The food is all very good. The brisket has a good smoke flavour however has a bit too much sauce for my liking. Now if you go there you should %100 get the French onion soup. It is one of the best I have ever had. read more
