I would strongly caution anyone considering working with this company. I provided the required permits before the work began. However, I later discovered that the work was not performed in accordance with the permits that were submitted. In addition, the installation was incomplete and poorly executed. For example, if your lift is designed to operate with four motors and to allow the vessel to tilt properly so that water in the hull drains toward the stern and is removed by the bilge pump, this company installed only two motors. As a result, the boat does not sit correctly, and water remains trapped in the hull. When I requested the technical drawings and documentation for the work that was paid for, they refused to provide them. This makes the process of bringing the lift into code compliance significantly more difficult and more expensive. To make matters worse, they have denied installing the lift altogether. I don't know what everyone is talking about with the bad reviews but I've had my lift for my 35 contender for about 4 years and both my jet skis on a lift from them for even longer and never gave me issues. They did my first lift on my first boat and will do the last lift on my last boat. Always people with competing companies that leave bad reviews. Chances are it's not an actual customer. This company did not install and close out the permit . I got violations and I still haven't closed my permit .they do not tell the truth and they cjarge me more every time I pay they find another story to charge me ..my suggestion is to stay far away from them .. they are not licensed contractors for installation .. This company is it licensed as marine contractor to install bait lifts . They refuse to close out my permit and do not return calls to make an effort to close out the permits with subcontractors they use. I contracted the owner, Mr. Donel Farinas, to build and install a boat lift for my house on Catalina Lake in Miami, Fl. The actual installation took far longer than expected and once done it was not done properly. Although it worked at first, since the lake level was high due to rainy season, a month later when the water level was lower it could not be used because it did not descend enough under water to be able to launch a boat. Mr. Farinas had given me a one year warranty so I did not worry about it and paid in full with the assurance that they would come back and correct the problem by adjusting the lift and making the necessary changes to make it operational. Paying them in full was a huge mistake which I will always regret. From Dec 2020 to the middle of February 2021 I called Mr. Farinas every day to ask for help and most every day he offered to send someone "that afternoon" to fix the problem. He never sent anyone. There was a different excuse everyday until I finally realized that since I had paid in full, he had no intention to comply with the warranty in our contract. Please do not use Faro Boat Lift under any circumstance. They will promise a lot and never deliver. They are obviously unethical and untrustworthy. read more
